Chapter One.

Ally, John, Miles, Sally and I have this tradition every year since middle school that has followed us even to now, we're all 23 and 24 and we still do it, every year on Halloween we gather at my friend allys house and watch scary movies and tell stories all night, it sounds boring but it's something you would have to experience to understand, we were telling scary stories and it was finally sallys turn, she definitely looked eager.
"It was a dark and stormy night...."  The fire in the fireplace crackled and sparked while sally spoke, shining a flashlight up at her face cause her already bright blue eyes to appear even brighter.
"oh c'mon salls you can't start a horror story like that!" Exclaimed John as he shoved sally in the shoulder, "well why not?" Sally questioned with a laugh after john pushed her, moving her beautiful red hair out of her face
"It's Halloween sally, that's lame!" I Answered quickly before John or one of the others could, because I know they would just make a rude remark and we didn't need that tonight, tonight was our free night.
"okay okay, guys, why don't we just play truth or dare?" I suggested. 
"Ok" everyone seemed thrilled with the idea. 
"Alright miles, why don't you go first?" I asked. 
"Ok, yeah that's cool, uhhhh". His light brown eyes glowed in the candlelight as he scanned all our faces one by one, he looked at john, then me, then sally and then over to ally.
"Ummm... ally!" He exclaimed, "truth or dare?" ally looked startled that he chose her but quickly let it pass and she made her decision
"Ummm Truth" she replied as she gracefully walked back over to our group, ally wasn't too tall but she definitely wasn't short, she sat down cross legged next to me, which made the butterflies in my stomachache swirl even more, i always had a bit of a crush on ally, ever since we were in high school, ally and john both, that was the problem though is that they also have crushes on each other, so sometimes we can get a little competitive.

 "ok then" miles looked pretty disappointed when he thought of a truth for Ally.
"Is it true that in high school you slept with everyone on the football team, including the female players?" He gained a pretty good reaction from that, she glared at him, none of the rest of us knew this about ally, of course she did have a reputation for sleeping around, we all kind of did, but the whole team?
 "ugh fine... yes" she responded pushing her glasses up her long hooked nose and looking down almost disappointed in herself, her short black pixie cut fell just over her eyes not passing the tip of her nose, we all laughed it off for a bit and then we moved on.
Ally asked John and John asked miles and I continued to not get picked for at least another hour but then it was John's turn.." alright looks like Sarah's been a little left out huh? Why don't I choose you? Truth or dare?" I was feeling brave... a little...
"Dare" I Immediately was regretting my decision.
"feeling brave are we?" John was going to ruin my life in just a second, you could tell by the way he was looking at me. 
"I dare you at three a.m to go knock on old mister cranky's door," he said 
"Mr. Dallas" I corrected him "isn't home yet" I finished. He just simply smiled
"Then we'll wait we still have half an hour". He was right, but I still didn't want to do it. I had heard so many people say that mr.Dallas house was haunted and not like I really believed it but he was really really creepy. Half an hour had passed and it was now exactly 3:00 a.m.

"Come on let's go," said John with a wicked smirk on his pale face as he paused the movie we were watching.

"Wait, john are we really doing this? Almost nobody that has tried that has been heard from since" i said quietly with a weak tone, i really wasn't thrilled with the idea.
John simply smiled wider and put an arm over my shoulder, which considering he's a full foot taller then me you could tell was pretty difficult "backing out already jensen?' he always called me by my last name while he was teasing me.
"I'm not backing out." i said coldly, shoving his arm off of me
"Lets go."
Allys house was across the street from Mr.Dallas' house, so we walked across to his house and we all immediately synced our words, "we should leave" We all stayed silent even though it was a little funny that we synced words.
I approached the door and the others hid behind his car in the driveway 
"Be careful Sarah!" called out sally, always worried something's gonna happen .all the sudden I heard John's voice, 
"you know what umm...sarah you don't have too-"
"yes I do," I said, cutting him off. He actually looked genuinely worried for once. but wasn't gonna let this get in the way of my dare. Sally, Miles, Ally, John and I have all been best friends since we were around three or four-ish, so for almost 20 years, I have never chickened out of a dare, so I wasn't going to start now.
