Oh my gosh guys I haven't posted in literally forever I am sorry but I haven't really had time to write. But now that I have I've had to write for school so check out this. I have to hand it in for English Lang so let me know what you think it would mean a lot. Sorry for not posting again.

As my mother walked away, I smelt the scent of her perfume wafting in the air. I knew from that second, that moment in time that she was never to return.

My name is Estella. My second name is no relevance to you . I am just here to tell my story of the day my mother left me alone with no one but my father and the house keeper. We are a very wealthy family always have been since I have been born, I suppose I don’t know anything different.  Anyway enough about me , let’s start from the beginning and why my mother has to leave in this horrific manor.

It all started roughly 6 months ago.We were going to a ball hosted by one of our greatest family friends. As the gentlemen asked for the ladies hand to dance i noticed my mother had left my father to dance with another gentlemen. Of course that is completely normal as she is just having the courtesy to be polite and give the fellow a dance. But I noticed straight away the way she looked at him was, in a way odd.  Her eyes were focused on his as though there was something there she could not take her eyes off.  It was as though she was unable to fix her attention onto something else. I thought nothing of it at the time , it was a normal thing to do.  The night escalated and Mother spent hardly any time with my Father and only with this other man. This wasn't like her at all, she’s head over heals for Father, but again i just pushed the thought to the back of my mind and continued to enjoy myself at this highly sophisticated event.

The following morning arose and I woke up to the sound of my Mother and Father having a dispute. This was unusual behaviour especially around myself. This would never usually happen.  It is not typical for my Mother to even speak to my Father in such a tone, it was as though she had lost all respect for him.  I was appalled in every way at the way she thought respectable to talk to him, it was just unlike her. I slipped on my dressing gown and crept soundlessly down the stairs, pausing at each creak fearing that my parents would hear.  As I approached the broad wooden door I felt myself quivering as the shouting got louder and my Father getting more wrathful. I wasn't sure whether to open the door or to go to the reading room and pretend I was oblivious to what was going on.  As i pressed myself closer to the door I heard something spoken by my Mother.“ I cannot believe you are accusing me of such foul behaviour. I am loyal to you and it is a sin which I shall not commit. I have had enough of your words spoken to me , the way you are treating me especially when you know fair well Estella is upstairs. ” I scurried into the reading room where I picked up a book and pretended to read in case my mother found me and got suspicious. The following moment I heard my Mother calling my name so i ambled into the main foyer of our house. She told me it was time for my breakfast so i followed her into the dining room.

As we dined together as a family i felt a sense of awkwardness within the room.  My Mother and Father could not even make eye contact and when they did, they would suddenly turn away and pretend it didn't happen. I despised the way that this family was being torn apart by something which cannot be true. Mother knew fair well what would happen if it was. How society would treat her as a sinner and she would be frowned upon even when going out to get some fresh bread. I refused to believe it would happen and got it into my head that Father was just over exaggerating about what happened at the ball. With my breakfast finished i asked for permission to leave and with permission granted i set out into the garden to sit on the swing for an hour or so just like every morning before teaching.  I noticed my mother followed after me but didn't suspect a thing as I thought she was probably just going for her morning stroll.

The swing was set on a high hill just at the back of my garden. It was beautiful because you could see the whole of the village and just stare out into the distance. I swayed back and forth on the swing, feeling the fresh air whirling around my body. I swung for half hour, completely unmindful of the rest of the world. That was until i saw something that would change the way I think of my Mother and change my life forever.

For what I saw this day, I felt I had to look twice before assuming the worst. But as I did I made a discovery. My mother was with the same man she was with at the ball. I could recognise the hideous hat he wore at the ball anywhere. I contemplated going to get Father and bringing him up but I didn't see the line of reasoning as they may have been gone by that point. So i stayed on the swing, watching my mother , trying my best to see what was going on. He took both of her hands and kissed each of them in turn, then turned to her cheeks and did the same. I could not believe my mother was letting the man do such thing right under Fathers nose. She was going to be ruined by society.I panicked.  I had no idea what to do , so I simply ran into the house and isolated myself in my room thinking about what I had just saw.
