I'll wait for you

New kid

My alarm woke me up at 7am, on a Monday morning. I got up and got dressed. It was my first day of school so I decided to wear something nice. And by that I mean a T-shirt and jeans. I brush my teeth and put my hair into a high ponytail I put on my shoes and went downstairs.

" good morning honey." My mother said. " morning Mom." I said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek.
" are you excited for your first day of school?"  She asked handing me some eggs.
" I mean, more nervous than excited but I'm ready."
She smiled at me. My mom it's like the one person I can really trust. No matter the situation she's always there for me and my big brother Jorden.

"Jorden!!" My mom yelled right in my ear.
Jorden came in to the kitchen look exhausted.
"Mhmm" is all he said.  My mom noticed and sighed.
"Jorden how long did you stay up for last night?" She asked frustrated.

"Four." He mumbled. Mom look upset. "Oh my-" she put her head in her hands. " Jorden i told you to go to bed at 10!!" She was not happy. I quickly put my plate in the sink, said bye to mom and left.
I got into my car when my phone buzzed.

Angie: hey liv your still come to get me right?
Olivia: hey! Yes I'm on my way.

I arrived to Angies house. She came out through her bag in the back the got in.
"First day!" She said hugging me. "Ya I'm really nervous." "Why? We're in the 10th grade. New year new start, plus i herd that there's a new kid in our class." She nudged me with her elbow smiling.
I rolled my eyes. "Ok, seriously you need to stop, me and Jason broke up two months ago" i nudged her back. She rolled her eyes and looked at me. "Whatever."

I was at my locker when I looked over and saw a guy standing there with a girl. I didn't know who they were but I was interested to find out, but I didn't want to interrupt them so I just minding my own business I went to class, but I kept seeing him in most of my classes. We had math, science, English, and history together. I wanted to get to know him but I was too shy and I wasn't the kind of person to make new friends on the first day of school.

It was 5th period when Angela came up to me.
" so how is it going so far?" I looked at her confused.
"What do you mean". "I mean like how is your day going so far?" "Oh it's good." "Did you meet the new kid yet?" She looked at me with that smirk i hated.

"No, but he's in most of my classes. And i'll admit he's pretty cute". "So go talk to him!"
"No, Ang I'm not going to talk to him."
"Why?" She sighed annoyed.
"Because I'm shy as hell and socially awkward." I claimed.

"Hey"
We both turned facing him.
Angie looked an me with her crazy eyes.
"Um, hi. I said screaming inside.
"Can one of you show me to room, 302?" He asked. I looked at him and i felt like exploding.

"She can." Angie pushed me. I looked at her giving her my best 'I will kill you' face. Then she ran.
"So?" I started. " are you new here?"
" yeah I moved here this summer my dad got a new job so we had to move" "I am Austin" he held out his hand. I stared at it for what felt like decades.
"I am Olivia, but you cat call me Liv" I smiled. He smiled back. And my exact thoughts right then and there were.
