Today's a Saturday. To me and Aunt Julie it was bake day. Every Saturday we'd bake any pastry, today I was asked to choose what we were gonna bake. I said cupcakes and Aunt Julie insisted on brownies but we already baked brownies last weak, so she had to stick with my idea even if there were definitely more options.

As we were in the process of mixing all the dry and wet ingredients, my phone rang from the living room. I scoffed after I saw Louis's name on the screen. What does he need now?

"It's Louis," I yelled from the living room. Hopefully, it was loud enough to be heard.

Aunt Julie pops her head out from the kitchen, "Why?"

"He's coming over if that's okay."

Nodding her head, I walked over the couch and slumped onto it with incredible speed as I plugged my phone back in to charge. I felt the couch compress as Aunt Julie plopped down next to me with her apron still on.

"Sunny, do you like Louis?" she asked, raising a brow suspiciously.

I slowly turned my eyes to her in suspicion, "What do you mean?"

"It's not like that," I add, firmly to make sure I sounded serious enough.

"You never know." She shrugs.

"But if you don't like him..." she continues, sneakily narrowing her eyes in a very teasing manner, "Why do you dress so neatly when you know he's coming?"

"Seriously?"

"I only get to dress neatly on photoshoots."

"Ok..."

"Speaking of photoshoots, don't I have one next week?"

As I asked my question, Aunt Julie had already walked out and left me.

"You're changing the subject!" she calls out form the kitchen.

"I am not!"

The doorbell and I opened to see who it was. It was Louis. He had a red knitted sweater and normal pants on with white sneakers.

"Hey."

"Hey."

I noticed how Louis was focused on how I looked. I was still wearing my apron and had flour all over my body and face. I dust it off to distract him from looking at me.

"Are you supposed to be a snowman or something?"

"It's Saturday bake day," I explained.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure." I nodded, closing the door behind him as he went in.

We both walked straight to the kitchen. I went behind the counter and cracked an egg in a bowl.

"Louis Partridge, what are you doing here?"

"I'm taking you to Matt's party."

"Nope. Not me, I can't."

"You can't what?" A voiced asked that I believe came from the bathroom. It was Aunt Julie without her apron looking clean, wearing an army green cashmere cardigan and her hair tied up into a messy bun.

"Hi, I was just inviting Sunny over here to a friend's party. I swear, his parents will be home and I would definitely bring Sunny home as early as possible."

"Yes."

"No," I replied.

"I can't go I have to finish these cupcakes."

"You know, maybe we should skip this week and go hang out with Louis, okay?"

I nodded my head vigorously as Aunt Julie pushed me away from the kitchen to get dressed.

We stopped by at Matt's, one of Louis's friends. I could hear the loud music from inside. Louis walked ahead of me while I walked hesitantly, taking a few steps forward.

"Come on," Louis says, going back down and pulled my hand.

The party was full of people. Some were sliding down the stairs and the others were playing catch with random stuff. It was more of a jungle to me than a party.

"Can I get you anything?"

"A cola would be fine. But please do check if there's kombucha."

"Yes, Ma'am." Louis saluted with two fingers.

I smiled a walked around to find a seat.

The back of a girl's head caught my eye. It had a strand of pink in it and I knew who it was, Toni.

"Come sit with us!" she yells.

"So, you and Louis?"

"Yeah." I nodded, puffing the pillow behind me.

"How did it happen?"

Emily, Toni's best friend whispers something in her hear and made her laugh so hard.

"They obviously haven't done anything."

I was deeply offended by what Toni said. It felt like an insult even if me and Louis weren't even a thing. Do people really think I'm that innocent? Well, I am. But still! She insulted me!

"You don't know that." I but in.

Aunt Julie always told me to never join in a conversation if I was not allowed to or If I wasn't a part of it.

Making Toni jealous was me and Louis' intention anyway so I had to do what I needed to.

"How is it easy for you to say that?"

"Because I know how innocent you are. Plus, I know Louis."

I felt the couch go down as someone plopped beside me, it was Louis with two cups in his hand.

"Your kombucha." He says handing me my cup.

"Thanks."
