7 Seconds

It's a normal, sunny day in Los Angeles, California for Katie Jacobs. Her family is going to the mall to hang out with her Aunt, Uncle,and Cousin. Everything is going great and her cousin Andy is playing a game at the arcade with her, but suddenly Andy realizes Katie is gone.

I get a call from LA while i'm sitting in my office in Quantico Virginia, about a little girl who had gone missing, I look at the case file I was emailed and realized she had only gone missing about an hour ago, I immediately grab my go-bag and rush to my Boss, Mark's office.

"We have a missing girl, Katie Jacobs. She was with her family in a mall, she went missing an hour ago." I say, with a pleading expression on my face. My boss nods and he grabs his bag. We briskly walk down the stairs to the main office room.

"We have a missing girl, Katie Jacobs. She's 7 years old and went missing less than an hour and a half ago. Jet leaves in 30 people, we are going to LA" I say addressing it towards my team members. They all nod their heads, and start grabbing their stuff. 30 minutes later we were all sitting on the plane looking over the case file, with Jackie on the Phone.

"Jackie, can you give us a background check on the, Family" Mark says.

"Sure thing sir." She says as her fingers start flying across the keyboard.

"The first 24 hours are the most crucial for a kidnapping, 85.5 percent of victims are dead after the 24 hour mark." Hugo chimes in without skipping a beat.

"The Family seems completely normal, Katie's father has 1 brother, and that brother is married with a 14 year old son, named Andy. The mother and Father are normal, the father is a carpenter and the mother is a Teacher, she homeschools Katie and Andy. She also provides homeschooling for other people as well." Jackie Says "They are a completely normal family." Jackie Declared.

"Thanks Jakie, talk to you later" I say as I hang up.

We arrived at the mall 2 and Half hours after the call we immediately shut the mall down. I go to find the head of the LAPD.

"Hey! Are you the head of the LAPD?" I asked. The officer nods with a look of confusion.

"Fabulous, this is my case now, I'm with the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit. SSA Kodak Hotchner, Shut this Mall down now nobody in nobody out, the most crucial hours for kidnapping are the first 24 hours, Call in the rest of your department you report to me now, Get your team on Channel 3 for the walkies." I say with a straight serious face, then I turn to my team. "Charlotte Go handle the press please. Morgan, Hunter Start interviewing people, Scout your with me we are going to talk to the Family."

Me and Andy were playing a battle game, when all of a sudden I needed to go to the bathroom, I tugged on his shirt sleeve and told him I needed to use the bathroom, he asked me if I needed help, I thought about it but I said no because I was a big girl, Right? I made my way to the bathroom I knocked on the door cause that's what mommy does before she goes in, then I opened the door and reached up for the lights, when I felt a Boney, hand pushing a cloth on my face, and then somebody turned the lights out.

Andy

Me and Katie were playing in the arcade, because it was her birthday. When she suddenly tugged on my sleeve, and told me she had to go to the bathroom, I asked her if she needed help because she was only 7, and I didnt know if she needed help or not. So she went to the bathroom, and I continued to play some games for a while. Until I realized that Katie had not been back for a while so I wandered around the arcade calling her name, The arcade wasn't big but there were alot of people in it. I walked towards the back, to the bathroom and I knocked on the door. Nobody answered, I opened the door, the lights and the Sink Were on. I stepped on something and heard a crunch, my heart stopped, I slowly looked down, and saw katies bracelet on the floor, the one we made together. I knelt down and picked it up, I was still wearing mine there's no way she could have just dropped it, She made sure I tied the string tight around her arm. Then it hit me, Katie was gone, she's missing.
