Thoughts, sip, sting. Thoughts, sip, sting. Thoughts, sip, sting. Thoughts, sip, sting.

"Jerry, another Brandy please." I set down the glasses, retrieving the liquid of getaway.

"Yo, Franscio, how's the 'buisness' doing?" Jerry questions. I let out a low chuckle.

"We're doing fine, Jerry. Lots of business you know." He nods, cleaning out the glasses.

"Any new opponents? If so get me some tickets, got a few guys willing to pay big for em, 60 to 40." I chuckle again, and nod.

He starts talking like usual and I take this time to zone off, thinking of the past, and the present, and the future. I remember my father telling me

'life has its moments, life has the good, and the bad. so live in the moment, and never, ever, ever fucking stop.'

He told me that, right before I figured out my mother had died from Leukemia. Yeah, bullshit, life fucking sucks.

I keep thinking of my father. I close my eyes, and let out a shaky breath. My head begins to pound remembering the past, and what it's done to me.

"Dude, you good?" I see this kid come up to me, from behind the bar. His name was like, Colin, right?

I lift my head and nod. I squint my eyes, trying to clear the head ache. I open my eyes and turn all the way to his attention.

"Yeah kid, I'm fine." I say in a low voice.

His eyes widened, almost falling out of their sockets. His jaw dropped to the floor, his throat drying from no moisture.

"Your, your, your Dant-"

"Dantri Fransico" I finish for him.

"Dude, I'm like your biggest fan, can I get like an autograph?" I raise an eyebrow at him, before stretching out my hand.

He quickly retrieves his pad, and a pen. I take the pad, and quickly write my signature. I hand him back the pad, and the widest grin slides onto his face.

"Thank you!"

I simply nod. I hear the seat next to me, screech across the floor, with someone resting in the emptiness that rested before.

I peep a look at the stranger, seeing a short woman, in scrubs. Her hair, red as a tomato and her skin pale drizzled with freckles as the moon and the stars.Beautiful.

I turn my head all the way. I see her sigh, resting her head against the table, breathing heavily.

"Miss are you alright?" I say.

She lifts her head, to see two huge chocolate eyes. " I'm fine. Just a hard day, you know."

"I actually don't know, but feel free to share." I say with a smirk. She rolls her eyes playfully.

"I was packed full at the hospital. Um got a lot of shit, because I performed a surgery that was 75% going to end in death, but we saved him, from my technique. I then my roommate, or so called best friend rain checked on me to give me a ride, and then it started to actually rain. So I ran here, which was closest thing to me, and here we are." She finishes out of breath.

She pulls out her inhaler, and does her thing.

"I'm sorry, star." She looks at me in confusion.
"Oh sorry, I was to busy blabbering to remember introduce myself, I'm Iris."

"Dantri." She nods and stretches out a hand. I accept and shake it softly.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn to see a caked face, and new lip filler, along with her face lift. Julie.

"Hey baby" I hear her voice, cracks and squealing.

I hear the chair behind me turn. "Hey whore." I hear myself say.

I see Julie scoff, and begin to glare at the goddess behind me.

"I'm the whore? Look at her outfit, your basically asking, wait no begging for attention."

I begin to speak but I hear Iris laugh before rising from her seat. "Yes you are, because if you weren't then you wouldn't be coming here to beg for Dantri's attention, when your were only supposed to be a one night stand, and these are called scrubs, because I'm a surgeon, and I actually have a job, unlike you because the only job you could get was on a poll, trying to shake the ass you don't have and even then people would be disappointed." She finishes with a smirk.

I smirk at how wonderfully she said that. Julie stands, gapping. She checks herself before stomping away, out the door.

"Hey Julie" I hear her call.

Julie turns and growls "what?"

"Just make sure not to let the door hit your plastic ass, ok the way out."

Julie storms out. Glaring through the window.

I motion for Iris to sit back down, and she does willingly.

"Yo, Jerry, I'll take a Tequila and Gingerale, with a limes please." I hear her call the bartender.

He turns and smiles widely at her. He fixes her drink before walk back over to us.

"Iris, how are ya kid? Any new cool surgeries?"

She nods before speaking up "I could be better you know, and yeah. Wanna hear?"

He nods quickly. "Alright so, obviously snipper attack from the bullet size. But it hit him right in the ball sack." I let out a laugh, and I hear Jerry chuckle. "But we found out, that his appendix burst during the surgery, so we got Jimmy working to remove it. And damn the guy, but he goes unconscious during the surgery, so we had to provide cpr in the fucking middle of the surgrey."  Damn. She's one hell of a badass.

"But we saved him. It was terrible because Jimmy wouldn't shut his mouth, and was cracking me the hell up the entire time."

She continues to tell her stories of the job and I take the time to observe her features more.

After a couple of hours of drink and laugh I see her check her watch, before turning to me "It was nice meeting you, Dantri."

"You too, Iris."

"Jerry, Dantri," she mockingly tips her imaginary hat, before walking out.

"Yo, dude, I saw the way you were looking. Got a little bit of the feels? Huh? Huh?"

I turn to look at him, stone cold glare, right in his direction.

"Jerry, I don't fall for anyone." I shake my head, smiling lightly "I gotta head out too Jerry. I'll call you tomorrow after training." and with that I left, feeling something I hadn't felt in a while.
