Chapter :25

" ...so I said 'no you go get the office papers' !" Jacob spoke as he made Vanessa laugh some corny office joke that was t even THAT funny. The blonde picked at her food , most of it untouched or uneaten , she was in no mood to eat or to have any company whatsoever but it wasn't her idea .

Marcos too hadn't touched or eaten any of his food , he wasn't in the mood to eat . He lost his appetite the second he saw Jacobs face . He looked over at Vanessa who seemed to be enjoying herself with Jacobs joke . She looked back at him with a small smile . She seemed to actually be enjoying this dinner . Well atleast he made someone happy by scarficing to go on this double date because he for one couldn't stand being in the presence of his ex and her new boyfriend .

"I'm gonna go get some fresh air..." Marco spoke softly to Vanessa as he got up from his seat . Star turned her attention from playing with the inedible food to marco who was getting up to leave .

The blonde had been eagerly awaiting to speak to him for days now . She wanted him more than anything , she wanted him back. As much as she acted to love and be Jacobs girlfriend , it was all part of the plan that she hoped would work .

She swiftly took off right after him . Running on her high heals as she tried to find him through the crowd of waiters and waitresses . Finally spotting him on the balcony she finally she her chance .

He took a breathe of fresh air . It felt like since forever ago he wasn't in the presence of negative people , life of luxury , smelling their disgusting fake ness . However his peace was soon interrupted when he heard the voice of a monster .

" Marco...." she spoke softly but loud enough for him to hear . He rolled his eyes before turning around briefly to see the sight of a beautiful but bewitching woman . He didn't want to admit it but , she looked hot tonight and he hated himself for saying that .

She had on a beautiful short red dress that made her eyes pop , little to no makeup and long curled hair falling down her back almost reaching her perfectly shaped ass .

" what is it now ? Did you come to say your sorry ? Cause I don't wanna hear it." He spoke sternly and clearly , he generally couldn't deal with her bullshit anymore and her trying to speak with him just made him even more angrier.

" please marco listen to me and You'll understand , please just listen..."
she did getting closer to him , you could here the raw emotions in her voice .
He turned around and looked at her , contemplating his decisions .

" Marco I was trying to protect you , to protect us-"
" hold on , you wanted to protect me ? By breaking my heart out of the blue ? With no explanation ? So why , why is it that now you want to explain yourself ?" He questioned

" I don't love Jacob , I love you !"
" you know.... your a terrible liar . Go to hell star , telling me bullshit like this isn't gonna help you or make the shit you've done to me better." He stated . She looked down , feeling dumb and regretting her actions . He was right , no matter how hard she tried , her words would never get through to him however her actions could...

She took a step closer to the tall brunette and wrapped her arms around his neck . It took every muscle in her body to resist the urge not to kiss him right them and there . To hold him her her arms and just take it all in , everything she missed about him , to let it all sink In.

The urge won...

The blonde didn't know how it happened but it did , she kissed him . A short but passionate kiss . It wasn't just a kiss , it represented everything . How much she loved and cared about him even if he didn't know it , how truly and deeply sorry she felt for putting him through all that hurt and pain .

The blonde was surprised when he kissed back . why ? As much as he hated her for all the shit she put him through , all the hours and tears he cried about her . He knew a huge part of him still wanted her , his body and mind were fighting once again so he went for what his instincts told him .

His instincts told him to just go for it . His mind was scolding him for doing this because he did have a girlfriend and it was considered cheating but he just couldn't help it .

His body was a power stronger than his mind and that's just not something he could control .

They both let that kiss sink in. It was a kiss that spoke volumes and were walls that both of them put up . It could be the last kiss they would ever share .

Letting go they looked into each other's eyes. They didn't speak a word , before Marco walked away . He just left.  She couldn't blame him , they both had a lot to think about .

Ring ring *
Marcos phone range for the five time . It was Vanessa . A few days peior to the double date Marco was still a wreck . His emotions and mind were at war and couldn't come to commune ground . It was both physically and emotionally draining to know what to do and go from there .

He ignored all his calls and messages from friends and family , he took a few days off of work to give his mind some space to breathe .

The sudden knock at the door made him jump a little , he looked over at the clock , 9pm on the dot . Who could it be at this late hour ?

He opened the door and his eyes lay upon Star . She had on her coat , her hair looked like a mess so she must have just come out of work and she smelled of the office .

"Why are you here ?" He questioned coldly .
" the kiss....do you still love me ?" She questioned , her eyes desperate for answers .

He could see she was just as equally as confused as him. Some feelings we're unsaid between the two and you could clearly see it . As much as he wanted to lie to her , he knew he couldn't . Lying wasn't gonna fix the problem and it certainly wasn't gonna give them an answer .
