"What do you want now?" I asked not really bothering about what my horrid step sisters had to say to me. As the only things they only said to me at school was:
A) trying to embarrass me by 'funny' stories of my childhood.
B) telling me to do something when we got home making one word pretty clear in the sentence 'maid'.
C)or being totally bitter towards me about something.

So here it goes...

"I saw him last night. Sneaking about your room." Courtney started.

"What are you on about now?" I tried to seem totally innocent.

"You know. Jake. Why he was there I do not know. But just so your ego doesn't get to big. He is way too good for you. And he shouldn't even be wasting his precious time with some one like you." She exaggerated the words 'someone like you' which was like a knife through my heart. What did she mean by that?

I mean I know I am not exactly a 'popular' or 'beautiful' girl but seriously what was the need. Before I could even respond to the harsh comment that exited Courtney's mouth. Nora stepped in to help me thankfully.

"Why don't you go and talk to someone that cares?!" Nora shouted defending me. Thank you so much Nora!

"In case you hadn't realised wannabe I wasn't talking to you." Trudy decided to join in. "Jake doesn't even like you Deana."

As if on que guess who decided to wander over to our spot. "Hey guys what's up?" I so badly wanted to laugh at how oblivious to the situation Jake was so I smiled at him. I think he caught on because he smirked back. He was towering over Courtney and Trudy whilst standing next to them, but I don't think why they were so stuck for words.

Courtney and Trudy both in sync flicked their hair over their shoulder. Then said "hello" in a voice that was meant to sound sexy but sounded more desperate. Then poking his shoulder on each side where they stood. He seemed extremely uncomfortable.

I must have given off a defeated and vulnerable look as Jake then walked over to me and planted his hand over my shoulder. "So how's my favourite girl today" I can't help it but I didn't think he was talking to me which apparently he was as he sniggered as I looked around. "Are you kidding me?" He asked.

"What? You mean me?" I couldn't help but feel flattered as his gesture but I was glad we were friends again. "Oh well I am great thank you Jake." I replied.

"Well that's amazing" he hugged me tighter when we both laughed at the evil and jealous looks that my stepsisters were giving me, along with a gobsmacked expression.

They turned around giving an evil smirk and turned around flicking their hair realising the one word that truly bothered me as it has no meaning, 'whatever'.
