Lorelai, Rory, Sam, and Dean talked for a while longer. Luke came from behind the wall. " Luke, hey!" Sam gave Luke a handshake and a hug. Luke was confused, he obviously didn't recognize Sam..Dean..whatever. " uh...do I know you?" Sam laughed. " You know me as Dean Forester, that's not my name though, it's actually Sam" he laughed again. " oh, Dean Dean yeah Dean...wait your name is Sam?" " Yeah I had to change my name...long story". Again the conversation went on. " Wait!" Lorelai said dramatically. " I called a ghost hunter for our problem named Dean Winchester" Dean waved at her from across the bar. " Yeah, uh we are hunters too. We hunt ghosts and demons and stuff. I know it's alot to take in, my name, our job, but it explains why I had to change my name" sam said scratching the back of his neck. Rory and Lorelai looked at each other in shock. " You're what now?!" Lorelai yelped. Sam blushed, avoiding all eye contact with Rory. Dean upon noticing Sam's flusteredness, said " We're hunters. We came here to help you. It just so happens that Sam knew you, and that made him want to come even more. He's extremely fond of you, your daughter, and this town. He didn't even want to have to explain any of this, but he did to help you." Lorelai was speechless and Rory started to tear up. Rory stood up went over to Sam and grabbed his arm. Before he knew it he was in the little room where Luke stays and Jess when he's here. They sat down on Luke's couch. " We need to talk" Rory said.
