Cassandra woke up with the sun shining in her eyes. Draco had opened up the curtains and let the sun shine into the room.

"Good morning sunshine." Draco said.

Cassandra's hair was a mess and all in her face. She groaned and plopped back down onto the bed.

"Don't forget Potter, you're going to Hogsmeade with your friends." Draco said. "You might want to get up."

"How do you know that?" Cassandra asked, sitting back up.

"You kept talking about it in your sleep." Draco replied.

He was already dressed.

"Oh god, is that all I said?" Cassandra asked.

"Hmm, maybe." Draco smirked. "I have to escort you to Hogsmeade, it's the rules. Once you get there, I will make a special exception for you, I will leave you alone. However, when I am ready to leave, you must also be ready."

"Thank you." Cassandra said before hopping into the bathroom to get ready.

~~

Once Cassandra was dressed and ready, her and Draco interlocked arms, walking out the door into the common room. Almost immediately, they bumped into someone (not physically).

"Jack." Cassandra breathed.

"Cassandra, just the person I was looking for." Jack said.

"I'm a little busy, Jack, could we talk later?"

"Yes of course. Stop in my office when you get back." Jack said, leaving but not before eyeing Draco.

"What was that all about?" Draco questioned.

"Nothing." Cassandra replied.

They made their way to the rest of the students that were gathered, ready to go to Hogsmeade.

~~

"Does anyone fancy a butterbeer?" Cassandra inquired as they stepped out of Honeydukes.

"Hell yeah!" Ron exclaimed.

The four of them made their way over to the Three Broomsticks. They grabbed a table and waited for Madam Rosmerta to come along and take their order.

Once their butterbeers were delivered, they started to discuss Dumbledore's army.

"Harry, what is up next for the DA?" Cassandra asked.

"Stupefy, I think." Harry replied, taking a sip of his butterbeer.

"Wonderful, my favorite." Cassandra smiled.

Her smile dwindled as she saw Draco walk in. Draco spotted her and walked up to her. Harry, Ron, and Hermione stared up at him with great surprise.

"Time to go, Cassandra." Draco said.

Cassandra got up, tossing some galleons on the table, and followed Draco.

~~

"Stunning is one of the most useful spells in your arsenal." Harry said. "It is sort of a wizard's bread and butter, really. So, um, come on then Nigel! Give me your best shot."

Nigel lined up across from Harry.

"Stupefy!" Nigel shouted.

Both Harry and Nigel got sent across the room.

"Not bad at all Nigel, well done." Harry said, grunting as he got up.

"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you." Ron said to Hermione.

"Thanks, Ronald." Hermione said.

People started cheering on Ron. Before Ron could even get into the stance, Hermione flourished her wand.

"Stupefy!" Hermione exclaimed.

Ron went flying backwards. Cassandra clapped so loudly for Hermione.

"I let her do that." Ron said as he walked up to Fred and George. "It's good manners, isn't it? It's completely intentional.

The next time Dumbledore's Army met, they really focused on mastering expelliarmus. Neville was the one with the most difficulty. Harry was flirting with Cho, as usual. Everybody was tired of them two flirting. Cho dropped poor Nigel on the head because she was too busy looking at Harry.

"Now we're not going to be meeting again until after the holidays, so just keep practicing on your own as best as you can." Harry said when the final meeting before break happened.

"And well done everyone, great work!" Cassandra added.

~~

"Where are you off to for break?" Draco inquired when Cassandra entered their room.

"Why?" Cassandra asked. "Wanting to send some death eaters after me?"

"Believe it or not Cassandra but I am not my father." Draco harshly replied.

"Oh really? Then why have you been such a dick since I've come here? Since Harry, the boy who lived, came here?"

"I wouldn't expect you to know."

"What do you mean?"

"You're taught things when you're young. Your dad is looming over you, standing over you when you were a little boy. You didn't know any better. You think your dad is some perfect guy because he's your DAD. Whenever I would do something wrong or not do something he wanted me to do, I would get yelled at. My father is so much taller than me and so scary. I've been afraid of him all my life. Afraid to get yelled at."

"I am so sorry, Draco." Cassandra said, not even realizing she called him by his first name.

"Like I said, I wouldn't expect you to know." Draco said. "So, where are you staying? With Snape?"

"No, I'm staying with some extended family of his instead. Never met them before." Cassandra lied.

"Oh alright." Draco said. "Mom wants to know if you'd like to attend the Christmas Eve Ball. Snape is attending and mom had him extend the invitation to you. Dad's not going to be there, nor any of his friends. He is going to be out of town."

"Who will all be in attendance?" Cassandra asked.

"The Zabini's, Crabbe, Goyle, Theodore Nott and his family, some old professors back from my mom's day and of course Snape."

"That would be lovely." Cassandra said.

"There is a group dance between the kids and you're required to dance." Draco said.

"Who would be my partner?"

"Me."

"Oh." Cassandra blushed.

She had been putting off her feelings for Draco Malfoy for too long.
