fear, the stench of blood, disgust, and the cries of multiple panicked people filled the air.
the storm outside grew with every second, and you was trapped up against some form of a wood pillar.
the ground below your feet was hard, and you could feel the familiar feeling of rocks in your shoes.
were you going to die?
possibly, but if someone could find her, find everyone you were trapped with as well, maybe you'd stand a chance of getting out of where ever you was.
but there was still the lurking fear that no one would find them all, and that your last moments would be stuck underground with people you didn't know.
"kid, whats your name?" one of the adults spoke up, staring into your eyes with his piercing crystal blue ones.
"(y/n)- and why the hell am i tied up in some basement? really thought this year would be different." you responded quickly, looking around to notice there was another man and woman about the age of your parents.
"(y/n)?" the other male spoke up, making you turn your gaze to look at him now.
"yeah?" you muttered, totally confused on why he was asking for your name when you just listed it.
"(y/n) (y/l/n)?" he repeated, staring at you with a concerned look on his face.
"yeah, why?" you responded, growing more curious by the second.
"damn it, one of stiles' friends." he told the other people, not bothering to talk to you. "how are you a guardian?" he asked, turning his gaze to you.
"i had a little sister, she uhm, left. her name was harper, i wouldn't consider myself one now. i technically was her legal guardian for a few years. our biological dad was out of the picture since long before i she was born, and our mom died in a fire at work.. but we were adopted years ago and i consider them my parents now. but i'm not really a guardian."
"still a guardian of some sort." the woman spoke, her voice soft as you stared into her eyes.
"why should that matter though?" you questioned, totally confused that this was the topic the adults were talking about.
"that's four though?" the woman spoke again, sounding just as confused as you.
"why'd it need four when it's had three the entire time?" one of the men asked, seeming to understand whats going on when you had no clue. "any why a kid?" he added, using his head to motion towards you.
"teenager." You snapped, annoyed by the fact that you were seventeen and still being called a kid.
"because, what mother wants she gets." you heard a small voice tell the group, causing you to jerk your head around to see the outline of a slim girl a few years younger than you.
"kinky." you grunted sarcastically, staring at the girl as she got closer, her features becoming more prominent. "now, listen here you little rascal, untie me or i will literally end your life from down here." you added harshly, spitting in the direction of the girl.
"how? you're stuck down there, miss. 'scary'" the girl replied quickly, walking closer to you, making it easier for you to look at her.
"harper." you grunted, for some reason not feeling surprised your kid sister was behind this all. "this is what i get, huh? being held against my will while you go on and rant about our dead as bones mother? i thought you were more mature than that."
harper sighed, kneeling down next to you, "oh sissy, there's so much you don't know about right now. let me make it up to you, wait here for a minute please? i have to go help out mother." she smiled, standing up and making her way out of the basement like room.
"classy." you sighed, rubbing your tied hands against the wood post in an attempt to undo them.
"what the hell is going on?" one of the men asked, causing you to jerk your head in his direction.
"baccari family reunion." you answered honestly, rolling your eyes at the thought of harper doing whatever she was, which probably include drugs or something wack.
"baccari?" the man asked again, causing you to nod your head.
"yeah, our original last name was baccari - our mom was julia. that's where harper got her middle name. although, it got changed when we were adopted.. something about a family name my new mom wanted to keep going." you responded quickly, suddenly feeling a snap from behind your back.
"hah." you smiled, pulling your hands out in front of you, a pleased look on your face. "well these were fun times but this is my cue to leave." you told the adults, standing up and walking towards the steps. "i'm sure you all enjoyed these fun times as much as i did." and with that you made your way up the stairs before stopping, hearing cracks below your feet.
"shit." you muttered, making your way down quickly. "well looks like were going to be here for a while..."
"great, come untie us kid." the man with the sharp blue eyes instructed, looking you dead in the eye.
"no, you sort of scare me-" you told him honestly, sitting down on the floor. "someone will save us soon, that merry bunch of psychopaths probably will." you added quickly, fidgeting with your hair.
"who?" the lady spoke up, the interest in her voice spiking.
"i don't know, some kids in my grade. stiles stil-whatever, scott mccall, some girl who's initials are a.a - i hate it when parents do that - and some other weirdos." you answered, watching as each of the grown ups faces turned into more relieved than anything else.
"allisons new friend." one of the males spoke up. wracking your head for her last name it suddenly struck you, argent. mr. argent seemed to be happy you knew his daughter, which struck you as odd.
"scotts new pack-mate." the woman spoke up, who you could only conclude as ms. mccall, scotts mother.
"the girl stiles wont shut up about." the other man said, who was obviously stiles' father due to the way he spoke about the teen.
"the sheriff, the doctor, and the dude who i know nothing about but am totally intimidated by. how wonderful." you whispered to yourself, listening as the storm outside grew louder. "these will be fun, fun, times."
