(Ren's POV)

Hi! I'm Ren Jiro, I'm 14 years old and today is my first at UA! I'm really proud of myself for making it here, why? Because my mom came here too. She's a hero now, The Hearing Hero, Earphone Jack or Kyokya Jiro! My dad? Well... I never knew my dad...

Ren?

Ok we're actually starting now:

(Ren POV)

Today's the day! I thought as I stared at the huge UA entrance I'm gonna become a hero! I can already see a bunch of my friends walking into the school, like Suguha Midorya! Daughter of Uravity and the number one hero Deku. "Hey, Ren!" A familiar voice yells. I turn around to see Yuuki Kirishima. She's the daughter of the hero Pinky and Red Riot. Beside her is Asashi, He's not the son of any famous hero or anything, but he's still a great friend. I wave at them using one of the earphone jacks that I inherited from my mom. Just in case you were wondering, my quirk is a combo of both earphone jacks and Electrification, I guess my dad had an electric quirk or something. "C'mon! Let's get to class! I heard Uravity gonna be our homeroom teacher!" She claims, dragging me and Asashi into the school. "So, how have you been?" Asashi askes, as were being dragged. "I'm good, did your mom take a million pictures of you before you left home too?" I ask casually, still getting dragged. We catch up on the way to our class. By the time we get there, mostly everyone has arrived. Asashi, Yuuki and I take our seats and wait for our homeroom teacher to show up. Just as Yuuki predicted, our homeroom teacher is Uravity. She introduces herself, tells us about our schedule for school and then brings us to the dorms.

"Welcome to Heights Alliance!" Uravity announces, "These will be where you will be living for a while, today you have a free day to set up your room, so have fun!" She says as we make our way inside dragging our bags along.

A little more to the left would be better... I think. The UA poster above my bed always looks a little off no matter how I set it up. Meh, whatever, I give up. I make my way to the common room where most people are done setting up their room. "What took you so long?" Asashi asks.

"At least I'm not the slowest!" I argue, a little defensively. "Yuuki's not here yet either!" 

"Good point," Asashi says. I sit with him for a while, but eventually, I get bored.

"I'm gonna go look for Yuuki," I say, getting off the couch. When I finally find her room, there's a lot of noise, "Hey Yuuki! You alright in there!" I asked, knocking on the door. 

"Don't come in!!" She yells. Soon enough, she comes out of her room, and I slip right in before she can stop me. "No! Wait!" She says, too late. My jaw drops, her room is filled to the brim with posters, figures, and any sort of merch of Pinky and Red Riot. "Don't tell ANYONE!!" Yuuki begs. I take out my phone, snap a picture and run. "NO REN DON'T!!!" She screams.

(Timeskip)

(Still Ren POV)

After probably a good thirty minutes of laughing at Yuuki with Asashi. Yuuki changes the subject by asking everyone to get in a circle to introduce themselves. Suguha starts. 

"I'm Suguha Midorya and my quirk is telekinesis, I have psychic powers that let me move almost anything that's non-living with my mind, but if I move things too much or things that are too heavy, I get a bad headache."

"I'm Akio Todoroki, I'm the son of Shoto and Momo Todoroki (TodoMomo anyone?) I have control over fire and ice and I can make anything I touch flammable, or vulnerable to ice.

"My names Asashi Ito, my quirk is called "Bone Abuser" I can remove bones from my body without feeling pain, and they grow back in mere seconds and can also sharpen or harden them to use them as weapons."

"Yuuki Kirishima! My quirk is a two in one package with both hardening and acid!"

"I'm Ryuji Bakugou, I'm the son of the SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE HERO KATSUKI BAKUGOU AND CAMIE BAKUGOU! AND I'M BETTER THEN ALL OF YOU!!" Ryuji yells. (Sorry, couldn't find a way to add KiriBaku in)

Soon, everyone has introduced themselves except me. "I'm Ren Jiro, I have the combination of earphone jack and electrification, my mom is the hero, Earphone Jack!" I finish. Everyone is silent, expecting me to continue. 

"What about your dad?" Someone pipes up.

"Umm," I stutter, "I don't know my dad," I admit, "Never met my old man." More awkward silence.  

"How 'bout we change the subject," Yuuki cuts in, breaking the tension, "Who's up for a game of truth or dare?"

(Timeskip)

Thank god Yuuki is my friend. When she suggested truth or dare, the tension broke immediately, after a few minutes into the game, everyone forgot me not knowing my dad. It's not that I never tried to figure out who he is, but whenever I ask my mom about him, she just avoids the question and gives me minimal information about him. I grab my phone, I'll try to learn about him again. I call my mom. "Hello? Ren?" I hear my mom through the phone,

"Hey, mom. It's me!" I say. Immediately I'm rammed with questions such as, 'How are you doing?' 'What's the school like for you?' 'Have you got your room all set up?' I answer all of them quickly so I can ask my question. "Mom?" I ask,

"Yes?"

"Tell me about dad," I say. I hear her sigh.

"Your dad..." She trails off, "Well, he was a hero, we met each other at your age. We were different, he was outgoing, weird, a real dumbass," I can hear her chuckle, "He... was sweet, y' know?" She says.

"Can you tell me where he is now?" I ask hopefully.

"He... had to leave," My mom says, "And speaking of which, you go to sleep now, you have hero training, alright? Make sure to call me again when you're free okay?" She asks. It looks like I'm not gonna get any more information out of her. "Okay," I say, hanging up.

Wow, over 1000 words... Not bad.

So how did you like my first chapter of my first fan-fic? Good? Bad? Terrible? Oh and I bet you guys all probably know who Ren's dad is based on his quirk and the cover, But do you know what happened to him??? Anyway, feel free to comment and give feedback, I really appreciate you reading this! Oh and don't mind the chapter names, I tried to make them sound like an anime episode titles
