A second chance

Holy croissant!!

             Everything is going well so far. Sophie made a separate group chat and sent the invention to the normal chat.

       "When do you think they'll be here?" Daniel asks standing outside of the pizza place.

"Probably in like 3 minutes," I reply. I few minutes pass and I see them talking and walking in the distance.

"Let's go inside and quick," I tell Daniel. "No talking they'll recognize our voice." we walk into the restaurant. it's full of tired adults and whiny little kids. We walk over to the restrooms to see where Issac and Lucas will sit. They sit down at a booth facing each other. Luckily there is a seat in front of them that's free. I sit in the seat and Daniel sits next to me. *Bing* I get a message from the normal group chat.

"Sorry I won't be able to come," Jaidens says.

"I have a basketball game soon so I can't come either," Hunter explains

"I should be able to get there later so don't wait for me." I Text. I look over at

Lucas and Issac who are looking at their phone.

*bing* Daniel texts on the separate chat.

"We are in position and everything is going well."

"Well continue making sure everything is going well." Sophie texts. Issac and Lucas seem to be chatting at the table. A waitress then comes and hands us a menu.

"We should get a pizza," Daniel whispers. "It would be suspicious if we didn't order anything."

"Is that just an excuse to get food," I question quietly

"Yeah." He admits. "I'll pay for it."

"Fine," I say not wanting to start an argument. I then notice Lucas looking in our direction. I hold up the menu so he doesn't see my face. I nudge Daniel's side with my elbow to tell him to do the same. After a minute I put the menu down and see them whispering and then laugh. Maybe this will actually work. *Beep* Daniel texted the chat about what's going on.

"I honestly didn't think this was gonna work," Hunter admitted. "But it might."

"If it does you owe me 10 bucks," Jaiden replies

"Of course this is working, it's my plan," Sophie interjects.

They continue talking and their water comes and they order. I can barely hear what they are saying over the loud kids in the restaurant. The water came back with a milkshake and two straws. They shared it. I didn't think people did that. I thought that was just like movies and stuff. Well, what would I know? The first person I Loved killed herself and now only about three weeks later I'm dating someone else. Though I still don't think I'm completely over her. *Bing* Daniel took a picture and sent it on the chat.

" '0' this is pure beauty XD" Sophie jokes

"Ugh, I don't want to lose 10 dollars." Hunter texts

"Haha yes, 10 dollars closer to getting animal crossing."

I feel a nudge in the side and look at Daniel who motions to Issac and Lucas. Holy croissant

"They're kissing." Daniel sparkles. "Our plan worked."

A few minutes later

"Your plan didn't work." Lucas declares.

"What?" Daniel whines confused.

"You think you can fool us with a paw patrol shirt." Lucas laughs. "You forget who you're trying to fool."

"So it was all an act," I ask.

"No, not really," Issac admits. "We have actually been dating for around 5 days and we couldn't figure out how to tell the group."

"When did you figure out what we were doing?" Daniel asks curiously.

"As soon as I realized we were the first and only ones here," Lucas explains. "Usually Jaiden or Sophie is first and why would Sophie invite us and then not show up." Him explaining this just made me realize how stupid the plan was which makes me feel stupid for going along with it.

"You were also sitting right in front of us." Issac smiles. "Also no offense but you're not good whisperers." We all laugh as we make our way out the door. We find Sophie hunter and Jaiden waiting for us. Daniel then explains it all in great detail.
