It was only a few hours after they had escaped Mustafar to rescue Kanan from the Inquisitor. Everyone was wore out over the mission. As Kanan was with Hera and Ahsoka, Zeb was taking a nap, Ezra location was unknown and Sabine was in her room painting on her walls. As she was painting many thoughts started to flood her mind about the mission. She was glad they did it and made it out alive but something ached inside of her. She wondered why she was feeling this way. They had got Kaman, the Inquisitor was dead, no one was hurt, so what could be giving her this feeling? Then Ezra went into her mind.

She didn't know why she was feeling this...again. When they were on the star destroyer and Hera was trying to contact Ezra, Sabine was beginning to worry about him a lot. Sabine was fearing the worst about what could've happened to Ezra. Then when she heard his voice after a few minutes she gave a sigh of relief thankful that he was alright.

She didn't tell anyone but Sabine was starting to feel different about Ezra. First she just thought of him as an annoying joking friend, but after when she found out that Ezra's birthday was on Empire Day of all days, she felt sad inside for him. She then knew how much he had suffered over the years and kept it inside of him for a long time. When she gave Ezra that holo picture of his parents, she felt warm inside about it. At that moment Sabine started to develop feelings for him. For a while after Empire Day, Sabine wanted to do stuff with Ezra to try and get him in a joyful mood. She would ask him to paint with her, ride speeder bikes or even to just have a good conversation with him about stuff.

Sabine knew Ezra liked her and always shows it to her, but in a way she liked the fact that someone liked her for a change. After looking at her painting she decided to go search for Ezra on the Ghost. After the mission they had, he could use some company.

Sabine went to Ezra and Zeb's room and knocked on the door. "Ezra you in there?" She called out. The door opened and she saw Zeb stretching and give out a yawn. "Nope. No Ezra's in here." He said and closed the door. Sabine thought for a moment then decided to see if Hera or Kanan have seen him. She went into the cockpit and opened it. Sabine walked in on Kanan, Hera and Ahsoka having a conversation and they looked at her. "Oh sorry I'll just go." She said backing up. "No it's okay Sabine. What is it?" Hera asked. "Well I just wanted to know if you seen Ezra by any chance." Sabine asked nervously as she blushed a little. Hera smiled at her. "I think last time I saw him he was in the kitchen." She said. "Thanks." Sabine said and turned to walk out. "Make sure you don't act this nervous when you go talk to him." Hera told her making Sabine turn red and she walked out.

Sabine walked into the kitchen and saw Ezra sitting at the table. When he saw her he covered his cheek with a rag he had in his hand. "Hey Sabine." He greeted. "Hey Ezra what are you doing?" Sabine asked. "Oh nothing just relaxing after what we did." Ezra said nervously. "Uh-huh. Why do you have a rag on your cheek?" Sabine asked. "Oh just...uh....I'm just cleaning dirt off my face." Ezra said more like a question than a answer. Sabine sat down next to him. "Tell me the truth." She said. Ezra sighed and took the rag off his cheek showing his twin scar. "It was bleeding when we got back. I didn't want anyone to worry." Ezra explained. Sabine trailed too fingers on his cheek feeling the scar. "Does it look bad?" Ezra asked. "No. I think it looks...cool." Sabine told him. Ezra smiled. "Thanks. It kinda still stings a little." Ezra told her. Sabine chuckled. "Well maybe this will help." Sabine said. She leaned forward to him and kissed his scar. Ezra's eyes widened and turned really red. Sabine was also really red but smiled. "Thanks. It does feel better now." Ezra said. Sabine smiled again and brushed her hand through his hair. "Any time Ezra." She said. They sat their having a small conversation with each other and while Ezra was talking, Sabine looked at his bright smile and she smiled along with him.

'So this is what love is huh? I kinda like it.'
