It was a wonderful day, sun was shining brightly and after a long time, that lonely land had heard some cheerful echo. Everyone was happy to see same old faces of each other, but there was one face, which was new for everybody. It was first day of transferred student Joy at college in Computer Science & Engineering department.

It was a wonderful day until Joy's deadbody was found in room no 424!!! Some people have described their day, you may find some clues from them...

Aalap's POV~~~

After a long time, I was so happy to be back at college after long vacation of Covid-19. It was first day after lockdown, I could see that everyone was as excited as me. Finally, we will attend class in those same old classrooms, I can't wait. I walked towards my classroom, not much has changed. I passed by room no. 424, it was closed. Well, that was somewhat surprising since our college used to keep rooms open and available for everyone. Maybe they would have some reason. I was about to go into my classroom when my friend from CE called me. Of course it's been a while since we met, so I was equally happy to talk to him but why to carry this burden with me? I told him to wait till I put my bag on its place. It was a bit smelly because the room was locked for a long time. I quickly put my bag down and stormed outside to meet my friend. We greeted and teased each other. The only unusual thing was that Vidhi ma'am was standing there outside Parthsir's office as if she was waiting for something.

Madhav's POV~~~

Yes, the first day was so refreshing. I had a lot of fun with all my friends and the real fun began at break time. I missed the canteens too much so we all decided to go to only open canteen. There was so much rush since only one canteen was open at the first day. There would be even more crowd but some people left since only available food items were sandwiches and pizza. I didn't mind, canteen is canteen, we were determined to have lunch there although we had to wait. "They have made the new board to stand out, huh? Not bad." My friend Priyang said. "Yeah." I agreed with him when we all observed their new huge board with its name on it. "They have surely emphasized on free delivery." Shrikunj said. Before we could reply, we saw a table getting empty so we rushed to capture the opportunity. We finally got the seats and without wasting time, we ordered. "Hey, who was that new guy sitting beside you?" I asked Utkarsh. "Oh, he's new transferred student, his name is Joy. He's a good guy." "New student, must be lonely at his first day, you should have invited him to take lunch with us." Priyang suggested. "Actually I did, but he said he need to complete documental process so he wouldn't be free in break time." We didn't mind him much because when that conversation ended, our food had arrived.

Priyang's POV~~~

It's been too long since I had lunch at canteen. How much I missed these days! But good times are bound to end, we had to go back to class after break time. Lectures are too boring, but it was DAA lecture next, it was at least bearable. The bell rang informing that the break was over and shortly Harshil sir came into the class. After some greetings and everything, he started teaching as usual.
