"This is your only time to redeem yourself now Kirkland. You've failed every  time before, and this will be your last chance to prove yourself." Snapped a deep voice, belonging to the leader of spies. No one knows his name, they only know that he runs the worlds best spy organization.

"Yes sir. I will not fail this time." responded the British spy, Arthur Kirkland.

"You do remember your task at hand correct? If not I will assign it to someone else and you can pack your things and leave this organization."

"I do. I must find the assassin (y/n) (l/n), follow her, watch everything she does. Then report back here to you. Afterwards, you will assign higher ranking spies to terminate her." He said, not missing a beat.

"Good. Now, go!"

-Let's see what you're up to <3-

"Dammit.. you will pay for this.. assassin.."

"Tch, how many times do I have to say it, my name is (y/n). But I suppose it does you no good now.." Replied a slightly pissed (h/c). Pulling her hidden blade from the man's chest and wiped it clean from his blood on his own shirt.

"You know.. the organization, will find you.. and they.. will kill you.." Sputtered the man. Coughing blood as he was losing it fast as his heart was punctured.

"Let them find me. I'd enjoy tearing them all apart one by one." She hissed, slicing his throat slowly and watched as his life left him.

Walking away she could only think about the joy it would bring her to destroy the world's largest organization of spies. They hadn't a great reputation with the assassins, seeing as they have always gone head to head with killing.

"Tch.. if I find one, I swear I will murder them. In name of our lost members.." She said lowly, keeping her (e/c) eyes on the dark alley in front of her.

"Hmm... not bad for an assassin.. girl nonetheless.. All I gotta do now is follow her and-"

At that, Arthur had tripped over a fallen pipe, alerting the assassin as she pulled daggers from her pouch and threw them in his direction, pinning his clothes to a wooden plank behind him.

He had no time to react as a blade was pressed against his throat, (e/c) eyes staring harshly into his green ones.

"Who the hell are you?" She asked, not hesitating to press the blade further into his skin, holding back the urge to drag it and watch his blood fall onto the pavement.

"I'm Arthur Kirkland.." He said, trying not to show fear, but only got a blade threw his arm.

"You're an idiot. To think you'd alert the person you're following you're there. An assassin nonetheless. And judging by your clothes you're from the spy organization. Give me one good reason to consider not spilling your blood here and now." She hissed, pulling the blade from his arm.

Cringing at the pain, Arthur racked his brain for an answer. Anything before she killed him on the spot."

"Time's up." She said, bringing her arm with the blade back, and went to thrust it in his heart before,

"Wait!" He said, fearing for his life now.

"What!" She snapped, shoving her left arm under his chin and pushed against his throat. She was getting aggitated now. What was keeping her from killing him on the spot now? Pity? Amusement for watching him try to save himself?

"I..I..uh.."

"Spit it out!"

Arthur couldn't do it. He had always failed his previous missions because he had sympathized the assassins. They were only trying to help the innocent people, yet were framed by the spies when the innocent got killed.

"The spies are after the rest of you. The highest ranking ones at that. You don't have a chance against them." He said, hoping she would release him.

Huffing, (y/n) had released him, but hadn't taken the daggers that pinned him to the board out, leaving him still trapped.

"Let them come after me. I'm the last assassin there is, and I will destroy all of you. I'll get revenge for my comrades.." She said, staring him down.

"But, I don't understand.. why are you telling me this when 1) I already know since you're here, and 2) you're a spy yourself. It makes no sense unless you're playing me.. trying to become an ally and then turn around and stab me in the back.." She hissed, glaring at him as he squirmed under her stare.

"N-no! I told you because I envy the assassins.. My.. my parents were assassins before they got killed.. I was taken in by the spy organization when I was little, and I found out about it from another assassin.. That's why I told you.."

Taking a step back, (y/n) took a few glances at Arthur.

"That's why you seem so familiar... you're the son of Kishin and Damon Kirkland.."

"Y-yes.. but how'd you know my parents names?"

"Tch.. they were the best assassins around. They were the ones that taught my parents, and they taught me everything. They were killed by the spies when they were trying to protect you.. My parents tried to get to you but were to late when the spies took you instead." She said, taking the daggers out of his clothes, watching as he moved his arms around, trying to get the blood flowing again.

"How do you know all of this? You look to be the same age as me.." He asked, curiosity  lacing his words as he was finding out about his past.

"My parents always told me the story before I went to bed every night.." She replied, placing the daggers back in her pouch and went to the dead body from the man before, dragging him across the pavement and into a large garbage bin.

"I see.. So, I would technically be an assassin then, wouldn't I?"

"No." She said bluntly, wiping her hands on a cloth and tossed it with the body.

"But you said-"

"You're not an assassin. You never had the proper training, and probably never will." She snapped, adding on, "Assassin training is tough. You need to start when your young otherwise you will never gain the traits needed. Speed, stealth, stamina. And seeing as you have had spy training, you are not an assassin. You are a spy, and always will be." She finished, climbing the nearest building to the roof and took off, leaving Arthur dumbstruck in the dark alley.

May or may not make a part 2. Depending on how mean I feel with this cliffhanger c:
