I shivered involuntarily as the cool breeze flew past me ruffling my already messy hair in its way....
I noticed the subtle change in the weather today.. It was colder than before but couldn't be colder than my own heart which was freezed ever since I left him...As I walked towards my little workshop I thought about what I did everyday at this time. That one particular memory of how my life changed kept blurring my vision...
As I tried to clear my head, one clip began to start in my head without my permission
~~~~~~~
It was a summer day. The absolute opposite of what I was facing now. In spite of the heat I could feel my hands sweating profusely...
No no no. I knew it was a bad idea. Why did I decide to do this? I swear Kuroo's ideas always turn out to be the worst possibility! And being the dumbass I am, I was going with his plans... Should I just go with the flow? Or should I back out? Should I talk to him? Or should I just pretend that-
"Bokuto san?"
That two words had my heart beating faster than humanly possible...
I looked up to see the curious eyes of the raven haired boy.
"You are Bokuto san right? Or am I tripping?"
Uh oh! No time to back out I guess... Ugh! Why did I agree again? Right! That damn bustard! Kuroo!
"Ummm. No. I'm not. I mean no you are not. Umm. I- I uh... Yes I'm Bokuto. Bokuto Koutarou. It's a pleasure meeting you, Aghashi."
His eyes twinkled for just a second before it vanished and his face became blank again.
"It's Akaashi. And the pleasure is mine." He shook my hand with a firm grip of his.
I could literally see the wheels turning in his head.
"You look like you want to ask me something..."
"It's just... You don't look like the Bokuto san I've heard so much about."
"Wha-"
"No. No. No. I didn't mean anything bad. Uh! It's just that from what Kenma told me is... You were a really loud guy and all. But you seem perfectly normal to me."
"Oh..."
"Right.. Oh... I didn't know there was going to be a new wing spiker among us. We could have met earlier."
"Oh please! As if you could stop from being ill. It's fine Aghashi. Don't worry about it." I tried to give a decent smile which turned into a grimace. Well guess not. But who could blame me? The boy in front of me looked like a freaking Greek god! And boy was I nervous!
" It's Akaashi. And no. I couldn't. But we could meet earlier as Kuroo san knew about it before the announcement. I wasn't sick then."
"No you weren't. And I- wait a minute! How did you know it was me?"
"Oh... The spiked silver black hair isn't a common hair style now... Is it?"
"No it isn't... I guess that makes sense."
"Of course it does. So... I'll see you in practice then?"
"Hmm? Yeah. Sure. I mean of course. See you"
"See you tomorrow Bokuto san. By the way..."
"Hmmm?"
"I think you'll look much better with your hair down. Just saying."
With that being said... A boy named Akaashi Keiji left Bokuto Koutarou absolutely flustered in a coffee shop with only twelve simple words.
That's how we met for the first time...
