The Armor

Chapter 4

The way the name Xephena rolled off her tongue made me pause some how I've heard that name before but where? A dream maybe? I rub my temples hoping I would remember where I've heard that name, I sighed it was no use she came closer to me her long blue hair and eyes  glowing ever so brightly casting a shadow across her face  her skin white as snow with small markings on both of her arms.

She outstretched her hand smiling at me,she had that smile. that same smile mom always has when she tells me everything is gonna be fine I hesitated for a bit but i finally took her hand.

"Don't be scared Xephena" she smiled

"That name where......did you....how do you know that name?" I asked.

"The same way that my name is not blue, but Tanesh and your name is not Justina but Xephena" she said slowly levitating couple feet off the ground.
She looked right into my eyes not even blinking once, her blue glowing eyes almost hypnotizing.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Oh....little Xeph you have so much to catch upon but as my duty as your guardian slash big sister I'll make sure you know everything. About your destiny and about who you really are big sis will take care of you"

Did she just say big sis am I hearing correctly?

She floats towards me placing her hand on my cheek slowly,she leaned in closely placing her forehead on mine she closes her eyes, instantly an electric charge ripples through my  skull like a wave, And then.there was lots and lots of images it was as If they were being downloaded into my brain some of these images I keep having dreams about them when I was a child,The images displayed different scenes scenes of war and scenes of a family together there was a baby, instantly I recognized that the baby was me and just like that it ended the images vanished and I was brought back to reality I clutch onto my head because of the intense pain afterwards.

"W-h-a-t........w-a-s....that?" I asked

"That's some of my memories about your parents, " she smiled.

"My parents?...My parents!?" I slowly got to my feet.

"I don't know what you think, you know but my parents are Dante and Justine Cole! You expect me to believe this? How don't I know this isn't some sort of scheme to pull into whatever club or whatever you are from huh!?"

"No Xeph listen-

" Don't.you.dare call me that!"i glared at her " if you ever call me that again I swear......and my name is Justina Cole end of story I'm going home and if you follow me I swear NASA will pick your  ass up and run experiments on you like a Lab rat."

"Listen you don't understand" she replied. I waved her off walking away I let out a long breath the images replaying over and over in my mind like a never ending nightmare.

the moon shone brightly in the sky Illuminating a path so I could see where I'm going I could hear the crunching of dry leaves beneath my feet with each step I took, I came up to a big tree near the park I sat down on one of the swings ,I sighed resting my head on the cold metal chains that holds the swing in place.thats when I heard the engine of a pick up truck crackling nearby.

"I had a feeling you'd be here" said a familiar voice from afar.

"Hey.....dad" I replied my voice almost a whisper he jogged upto me  his face falls when he  notices the look on my face.

"Oh I know that look....Justina it's okay to be sad, you fall in love more than once kiddo but....its Dave's loss I'm sure there are other guys out there who will love and care for you because you  are special.you know why?"
