It's my birthday!

So here's a chapter...

Another example of Sebastian as a loveable idiot...

***

"Mia!" Sebastian called out.

He looked down at his watch, knowing that they were going to be late for work if they didn't leave now, which was strange because he knew that Mia was a stickler for leaving early and being on time.

For her, being on time was practically being late - one of her quirks that he loved.

"I'm here. I'm here," Mia quickly said, grabbing her bag and running down the stairs.

She tripped on the last step and nearly fell, had Sebastian not been quick with his reflexes and held her, before she ended up with her face to the floor.

"Easy, love. You're going to hurt yourself," Sebastian told her, kissing the top of her head.

He could tell she was stressed about the presentation she was meant to lead this morning, but after having done so many already, he couldn't understand why she was still so jittery.

"I'm sorry. I had to call the bakery to place an order, which seemed to take forever," Mia breathed out, as she held onto Sebastian's arm and put on her heels.

He smiled at her and shook his head. She always did the most, he often wondered how she managed everything.

The two then got ready and left the house, heading towards work together.

Upon reaching work, Sebastian kissed Mia, just as she hopped off the lift and headed to her office, and then headed up to his own.

He knew his father would be in the meeting today and no doubt, he was probably already waiting for him in his office.

Even after handing over the company, instead of relaxing, Richard just couldn't keep away. When there would be an opportunity present for him to be back, he immediately took it.

When Sebastian walked past Sophie's office, he noticed his father already in there, distracting her as usual.

"Dad?" Sebastian called out.

Richard turned towards him and grinned. "Son, how are you? I was just catching up with Sophie here," he smiled and then patted Sebastian's back.

"I'm alright. Nothing's new with Soph, she's just trying to get out doing work," Sebastian gave her a cheeky smile, only for a pen to come flying his way - which he caught.

Sophie scowled at him. "Don't be a prick," she said.

"Ah, but he can't help it," Richard chimed in, causing Sophie to laugh.

When Sebastian looked at his father, shocked that he was agreeing with her, Richard just shrugged.

"How's my daughter-in-law? Is she ready for the meeting?" He then asked, excited to see Mia in action.

Sebastian grinned. "She's going to be amazing, as always," he said proudly, puffing out his chest a little.

"Alright, you two. The meeting is in an hour, I'll send in some coffees to your office," Sophie then told them, mostly so she could get her office back to herself and actually get some work done.

"No, I got mine," Sebastian said, holding up his to-go cup, in which Mia had already prepared her amazing coffee for him. "But we will leave you alone," he then added.
