Hellloooo, so yee... new book. I wrote this on a fanfiction course, it was super fun. I've been to it two times and I met Mari Moen Holsve cuz she was the teacher, and she's sooooooooo nice! I love her Cx Anygay, on with the story-
«Space?» Time said, sitting down beside her on the bed of starlight. Nil had already fallen asleep. Space was obviously worried about something, but not like that was anything different. Time knew what was wrong, but waited for Space to say something about it.
«I...» She hesitated for a moment before continuing, «I just have this feeling that somebody else is out there. What if they're all alone?» She said, looking out in the endless void she has always been in, slowly filling it with stars. A few tears ran down her cheeks as more stars began to appear around them. Time moved her hand to hold hers.
«If they're out there, they'll follow the stars and find us.» She said calmly.
«But what if it's not enough?» She began to cry more, creating more light.
Nil had woken up, she moved to sit next to them too. «As long as we stick together, right?»
«Nil-» Time began.
«She's right, Time. Someone might be out there. It wasn't fun being all alone, trust me. Especially when I knew there was something more than just emptiness, but that something was the only thing I couldn't reach. What if they know that feeling too?»
«...I'm sorry, Nil.»
«It's okay, it was a long time ago. I've forgiven you.»
Space stopped crying and listened to their conversation. Again, she didn't know exactly what they were talking about, but she had tried to ask about it several times. They didn't want to tell her. Both of them also probably started surrounded by nothing too, which they now refer to as 'the start', but she really wants to know their backstory.
«So...we're gonna look for them? I can make stars to light the way.» Space said.
Time sighed, «Space, I don't like the thought of you crying.»
«Please? I promise I won't cry much... only when needed.»
Nil looked at Time with a look that said 'it's for the best', and Time eventually agreed to go.
And that's how they ended up with a rock in hand. Well, not that they knew what it was, really. «What is this?» Nil asked, throwing it from one hand to another.
«I don't know...» Time said quietly.
«Maybe this is from someone else? We've found them!» Space started crying again, this time of happiness. The light from her tears hit more rocks, and eventually what looked like hundreds of them, but they were all small enough to be held in their hands. It would take a long time to create enough light to see everything that was out there, but they guessed it was more rocks. Nil was about to say something, but they heard a voice far away in the distance.
They couldn't make out what they were saying, but one thing was for sure, they weren't happy. And the voice... or voices was beginning to come closer.
«Leave him alone!»
«He's hurt...»
«I'll fix him!»
«You can't.»
They looked at each other, and Space silently told them that they should go check it out. They were going in different directions, but were careful not to lose sight of each other. After walking towards the voices for a bit, Space looked between the flying rocks that had been getting bigger and bigger the longer she walked, trying to find who were fighting. That's when she spotted two people. One of them were holding a glowing, light blue ball. The person had long, light blue hair and a green, long coat with white and grey clothes under. The other person had dark blue hair which looked mostly black, round glasses and a dark blue suit with an uneven tie. All of a sudden they looked up, seeing Space's light from her stars and stopped talking.
They held eye contact for a while before the one with the blue ball ran towards her while calling out: «Finally!» The boy without the ball stood still and said nothing, looking down.
Space hugged them back, still crying a little. «We've been looking all over for others! I knew you were here somewhere.» She said, letting go of the hug.
They looked up at her, feeling like they had seen her somewhere, but they couldn't put their finger on it.
«I'm so happy you're not alone.» Space said happily.
Their smile dropped and they looked over at the quiet boy in the distance. «I'd rather be alone than be with him...» They muttered.
