When I wake it is bitter cold, frosty and white. I heard on the radio that there'll be a storm today, and Katherine is at Mr. Mondir's house. I have to get ready myself. I plan on going to the woods today, to chop trees and burn the wood tonight. I believe Katherine will be at Mr. Mondir's house for at least another day. That's good, his house is so much warmer than ours.
When I get home I have a bunch of wood, ready to burn. I warm up last nights left over stew to eat for breakfast, and head out to take care of the animals. They'll have to all be tied up tonight. They won't like that. I sigh. I'm not ready for this kind of day.
I finish the animals and head to the market, with eggs, milk, and cheese. I plan on selling everything and buying what I need for the house.
When I've sold everything I have about enough money for what I need (Two blankets, meat, berries, paper, ink, and a book for Katherine). I go get the things and begin to walk home. I got Katherine a book as a present, to cheer her up. She loves reading, and she's probably better at it than me .
On my way home I see a flyer for a wanted person, I feel like I recognize them. I step forward to get a closer look, and suddenly realize... It's my dad.
