Chapter one: The Signal

Crash! Poof! Bang!
"Whoa! Calm down!" The Doctor exclaimed as he hung on the console of the out-of-control Tardis.
"What's wrong with you hey?!" He said as he pulled the scanner around to face him. "Ooh! You're picking up a very strange signal! What the hell! Let's follow it!" He pressed buttons and pulled levers and the Tardis headed towards the signal.

"Monica! Come help your brother do the dishes please love!" Monica's mum called out.
"Yes mother!" Monica exclaimed in slight annoyance at being interrupted from her music.
She got up and went to the sink and started to fill the sink with water. Her brother was no where to be seen.
"Jordan!! Get in here! You're supposed to be helping me!" She commanded her little brother.
"No! I'm wiping up, Mum said! So I gotta wait until you do something!!" He complained.
Monica sighed. She got stuck into washing up the cups and plates. She had almost finished when there was a rather large bang from the backyard!
"What on earth was that?!" Monica's Dad exclaimed.
"I'll go check it out!" Monica volunteered. Anything to get her out of doing the dishes.
She grabbed a knife just in case it turned hostile. She walked out the back door in time to see a blue box.
Suddenly the doors to the blue box opened and smoke billowed out. Then from out of the smoke stepped a man. The man was tall, and was wearing a tweed jacket and a bow tie!
"Oh blimey! What a racket! Sorry! About your backyard! Haha! It picked up a funny signal and for some reason it has lead me here!" The man exclaimed.
"Who are you?!" Is the first thing the frightened Monica came out with.
"Oh sorry! How rude of me! I'm the Doctor!!" The man introduced himself.
Monica wasn't quite sure about this strange man who has just crashed a blue box in her backyard.
"Doctor who?" She asked.
"Just the Doctor!" The Doctor replied.
"That's your name? The Doctor?!" She questioned him, not sure whether to believe him or not.
"Yep!" He replied a big smile on his face which for whatever reason made Monica feel a little more comfortable with him. She soon found herself smiling back. She dropped the knife behind her.
"So what's your name?" The Doctor asked.
"Monica!" She replied
"Nice name, Monica! I like it!" The a Doctor complimented her.
"Thanks, Doctor!" She replied quietly.
"Now! I gotta find out what this signal was!!" The Doctor said, not making any sense to poor Monica.
He hurried back inside the Blue box, Monica decided to follow. She couldn't see anything much when she first walked in, but soon the smoke cleared and she saw all sorts of mind blowing stuff! It was a whole new world in here!
"It's bigger on the inside!" She stated.
The Doctor smiled over at her. "You like it?" He asked her, still concentrating on the scanner he had in front of him.
"Uh yeah. Yeah I do!!" Monica exclaimed her eyes scanning the huge room, taking in every little detail.
It looked very retro!
"Is this a Time Machine?" She blurted out.
The Doctor looked at her from the console. "Yes it is! Got a problem with that?" He replied.
Monica shook her head.
"So... Are you an alien?" She asked.
"Yes I am! Are you ok with that?" He once again replied.
"Fine yeah! I think I'm fine!" Monica responded, a little in shock.
"Ah! There it is! The signal! Its... Oh my Gallifrey! Monica! It's you, the signal is you!"
