Haven's voice echoed down the crowded hallway behind me, "Zaria!"

The last period had just ended and the clean hallway seemed way too bright. It was way more crowded than usual, and everyone was hurrying to the bus circle. It was a Friday leading up to a week off for Christmas. Haven's voice called out to me again, "Hey, Zar! Zar! Wait up, hun! Don't make me walk by myself!"

"Haven! I can't just stop in the middle of the hallway, I'll get crushed! Trampled! I'll be smushed into the ground with nothing to mark my sudden demise!"

"Suck it up and wait for me!"

"I'll wait for you outside. But you need to hurry up, though! I wont wait forever."

I was shoved and pushed towards the door by every oblivious student in the school that was near enough to do so. I was jostled and bumped into walls and lockers. I was almost to the main entrance and exit doors. So close.

"Zaria." My name was elongated and whispered in such a way that it made me shiver. "Zaria!"

The back of my sweater was snagged by something and I was being steadily pulled back into a classroom. Every time I tried to stop, whatever holding my sweater tugged me backwards.

"Zaria!" Impatient.

I was finally pulled into the classroom. There was a girl giggling behind me.

"Zaria, oh, Zaria, please do come walk with me! I am alone, oh, so alone. Don't leave me here, baby!" She sung this in America's national anthem.

"Stella! Damn you, Stella! You scared the cheese out of me!"

She started laughing hysterically. "The cheese?"

"The cheese. Now, shut up, you overgrown, energy filled chipmunk. Haven's coming, and I feel the need to scare her like you scared me. You ready for this?"

Her eyes grew wide, she smiled and started hopping around the room like a rabbit full of caffeine. "Yes, yes, yes!"

"Okay. Go stand next to the door, out of sight, quietly. Wait for Haven. When you see her, pull her in, but don't let her see you. Don't say a word, I'll do the rest, okay?"

"Okay!" She whispered excitedly as she basically hopped to the door. "Ready!"

I pulled an extra sweater out of my school bag and took off my scarf. Then I pulled out a chair.

"Stella. You see her?"

"She's almost here!" She replied. "Three. Two.. One!"

Stella grabbed Haven from behind and quickly pulled her in. I grabbed the sweater and shoved it over her head while Stella threw her into the chair. Haven started cursing. I tied Haven's hands to the back of the chair with my scarf while Stella was trying to surpress her laughing.

I cleared my throat and lowered my voice. "Where'd you hide her?"

"W-who?" It took Stella all she had not to burst out laughing at Haven's shaking.

"Zaria, you fool! Where have you hidden her?"

"I-I don't h-have her.." Haven studdered.

"OH MY GOSH STOP! I'M DYING!" Stella suddenly screamed.

Both Stella and I broke out laughing as I untied her arms and Stella uncovered her face.

"You... You jerks! You scared the shit out of me!"

"Yeah, well. Stella did it to me, so get over it. We should go, I'm-"

"Bored. So lets go." Stella finished. "Yeah, we all know."

We talked about a whole lot of nothing on our way out to the bus circle, laughing all the way.

*Well, you've met Stella and Haven, now.

Stella reminds me of a squirrel. On acid. Injected with pure caffiene. On happy pills. Yeah.

Haven makes me think of this down-to-earth girl with a scene style.

And you'll just have to learn about Zaria as you keep reading.

Hope you liked the chapter c:

I'll post the next one soon! :D
