Takes place 3 months after MalacoreEnjoy!
Three months past and not everyone can still deal with the lost they had. Some could slowly move on with what they had to, but mainly the crew was still sad about the lost of Ahsoka Tano.
Kanan was blinded and Hera stayed by him everywhere he went, Zeb was trying to comfort Rex after the lost of his long time best friend, Sabine was in her room painting in her room. A week ago she spray painted her hair a new color and was looking it over as she painted. When she was done, she looked at her finished art work. She painted a picture of the green and white owl that followed Ahsoka everywhere she went. As she looked it over her thoughts was now on Ezra.
Ezra locked himself away in his room. He only came when he either get something to eat, go to the bathroom or when we have a meeting. She was getting really worried about him. Sabine didn't know what to do about it, she would go talk to him, but she's just been told from everyone else that he doesn't want to see anyone. Sabine knew Ezra couldn't just shut us out like this, he had to let someone in or he won't be able to come out of his state. Sabine put down her spray paint can and walked out of her room.
She looked in the hallway and looked at Ezra's room. As she walked towards the room, she ran into Hera. "Sabine, where are you going?" Hera asked. "I'm gonna go try and talk to Ezra. He's been in his room for too long and I'm worried. I know it's kinda hopeless to try and talk to him." Sabine explained. Hera smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Go ahead. You're probably the only person on this ship that can get him to open up." Hera said and Sabine smiled. "Thanks Hera." She said and walked to the room.
Sabine stood outside of Ezra's room staring at the door. She was starting to get nervous. What if Ezra didn't want to see her? What if he's too angry to let anyone in? What if I say something that makes mad? All theses questions went through her head. "C'mon Sabine. Stop thinking like that." She mumbled to herself. She raised her hand and knocked twice on the door. "Ezra?" She called out softly but loud enough so he can hear her. "Ezra, can I come in? Please, you've been in there for months and we're all worried about you. I know how you feel right now but you can't shut everyone out like this. So please, come back to us......come back to me."
To her surprise, the door opened. She was surprised but walked inside without hesitation. She saw Ezra sitting on the bed with his head down. She noticed how long Ezra's blue hair was getting as she walked in and sat down next to him. She looked at him up and down. His cloths was ruffed up with wrinkles, his skin was a bit pale, his hands were balled into a fist, his eyes were red and had bags under them. Sabine's heart melted seeing her friend in this state and wanted to do something. As she thought about what she was gonna do, she placed her hand on one of Ezra's fist. To Sabine his hands felt tight. She used her hand to unball Ezra's fist and locked fingers with him. She used her other hand to play with Ezra's long hair. She then got an idea on what to do. Still holding Ezra's hand she got up from the bead and looked at Ezra. "Come with me." She told him. Ezra didn't say anything but slowly got up. Sabine smiled and guided him out the room and into hers.
They both entered her room. Sabine guided Ezra to her the seats under her bed. She put Ezra in front of her and sat him down in the seat. She left the room and to the bathroom. She came back with a bag and set it on the table. Ezra looked at the bag. Sabine went through the bag and got out a pair of scissors and a razor. Ezra looked at her confused. "What? Your hair is too long. Afraid of a little cut." Sabine teased. Ezra back down at the ground. Sabine kneeled down to her. "Hey. I was just teasing you that's all. I just want to make you feel better and talk that's all. But if you don't want to then it's okay." Sabine said. As she was about to get up Ezra gently grabbed her hand. "It's okay. It's been awhile since I got a hair cut." Ezra said. Sabine smiled and grabbed the scissors off the table.
Ezra sat on the floor in front of Sabine as she sat above him in the seat. Sabine had put a cover on the ground for the hair. Sabine started to cut Ezra's long hair from the bottom and work her way up. Ezra was enjoying getting a hair cut. He hadn't had one since he was seven and was enjoying it. "My mom used to cut my hair too." Ezra stated. "Really? Am I doing as good as a job as her?" Sabine asked. "Kinda better actually. Where did you learn how to cut hair?" Ezra asked. "When I was little, I used to cut my brother's hair alot. And when I was in the Imperial Academy, it was a rule to have your hair short so I learned as I grew up." Sabine explained.
There was more silence between them as Sabine continued to cut Ezra's hair. When she got done with the long pieces, she grabbed the razor and continued to cut. "I'm sorry." Ezra said breaking the silence. "Sorry for what?" Sabine asked. "For making you worry. I just didn't know how to deal with what happened on Malacore. But if I didn't do what I did, then it wouldn't have happened." Ezra explained. "Ezra, no one will every see you different just because of this. I know you didn't mean for it to happen and you feel responsible but you don't have to shut everyone out because of it. We will always care about you no matter what happens." Sabine told him still cutting. Ezra smiled a little and grabbed her free hand. "Thanks for always sticking by me Sabine." He said. "I'll always be there for you Ez." Sabine said back. She continued to cut his hair but Sabine never let go of Ezra's hand.
A couple minutes passed and Sabine was finished with Ezra's hair. She handed Ezra a mirror. His hair was now short and smoothed out. "You like it?" Sabine asked. "I love it. It looks good. Thanks." Ezra said. Sabine smiled. "No problem." She said. They both noticed that they were still both holding hands and blushed. "You, uh, wanna go for a walk?" Ezra asked. "Sure." Sabine answered. They both walked out of the room still hand in hand.
Later at night
Sabine was getting ready for bed after the day she had with Ezra. As she climbed in her bed she grabbed something from under her pillow. It was a small clear tube with pieces of Ezra's hair inside. Sabine smiled as she looked at it.
'Just one of the many little reminders of why I fell in love with him.'
