Shuichi pov

I woke up by the alarm clock. I lazily stood up from bed not wanting to go to school. I took a deep breath knowing it will be another day of bullying, and for the cherry on top it's sports day today and I'm not very fit.

I made myself presentable for today. I wore some sweatpants and a little too big white T-shirt. Before i went out of my dorm i took a grey jacket to hide the cuts i made. I picked a little backpack and put a water bottle in it. I didn't pack any food, cause i probably wont eat any of it today like yesterday or the day prior. I'm very hungry but the bullying got so far that It keeps me from eating.

'Fat'

'Go on and starve already'

'Can't you just DIE'

'Stupid emo'

'Weakling'

'Weak'...

And so on and on. At first i just ignored it but it got harder and worst by the DAY. First thing that happened was cutting, hiding it with a long sleeves and jackets. I never used bandages, wanted them to be infected.

I went out of my room to the class. While walking towards the class I heard other people whispering about me thing that aren't even true. I was on a verge of tears when i bumped into something or someone. I went to apologize when I realized who have I bumped into...the worst bully of them all Kaito Momota.
He was the one who spread all the rumors and the fact that they don't call me by my real name anymore Its all his fault, instead they call me 'emo hat'.

Kaito looked at me with a glare and on top he's way bigger and stronger than me "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU. YOU FUC*ING SL*T!!!" He screamed at me and then punched me in the stomach. Hard. I fell on the floor clutching my stomach in pain. I got up and went to my class. When I came i sat down at the last road near the window.

The teacher explained what we will be doing and so on and on. We found out that we will be paired with another class. And guess what?- our class was paired with Kaito's class.
We were doing a lot of different thing from playing football to throwing a shot put ball.
The last activity the day was run 300m and like I said I'm not fit for running so I'm gonna suck at this.

I was sitting on a bench when someone cover my vision "Guess who?~" said his angelic voice i would know from everywhere "R-rantaro?" I asked "Mhm, who else silly?... hey babe, do you know who are you running with?" Rantaro asked "yea I'm running with Kokichi and Kiibo" i answered "they are pretty fast, you sure?" "It doesn't matter if they are faster than me the timing is important." I smiled a little at him "whatever you say baby" he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before he went to talk when he will run with others.

Right now It's our turn to run Mr. Monotaro rose his hand and after a second said GO! And we started to run. One lap done just a half left. They were all cheering for Kokichi, Kiibo and me when I heard "go you fu*king Emo Hat!!!" I froze on the spot halfway to the finish. I started shaking and soon fat tears coming from my eyes down my cheeks. I broke down on the middle of the road. I put my head into my kness crying harder on the point i started screaming. Meaning all the bullying finally got under my skin.

Rantaro pov

I was cheering Shuichi on. He was doing great. When Kaito yelled "go you fu*king emo hat!!!" I was going to walk towards Kaito when I saw Shuichi stop. He was shaking I only glared at Kaito when i picked up Shuichi's other jacket and started to run towards him. Teacher tried to stop me when we heard screaming I looked towards Shuichi he fell on the floor. I pushed the teachers away and went straight towards him.

When I came he was shaking, screaming and crying. I cover him with his jacket and hugged him "hey, hey shhhh shhhh. It's okay baby. It's okay I'm here shhhh." I said in a calm tone. I guess he recognized it and hugged me back.

Soon the teacher came probably wanted to know whats wrong. I held up my hand shaking my head no, while Shuichi was buried in my shoulder, curled in a ball soaking my shirt with fat tears " hey sweetheart you okay. Are you able to stand?" I whispered not to scare him. He nodes his head no, so I picked him up like a toddler holding his head against my neck "shhhh you're gonna be fine okay? Nobody will hurt you now that I'm here. Try to calm down now. Shhhh."
I started walking towards my dorm room. Before that i stopped in front of Kaito "I hope you know what you have done. If don't look" I mentioned with my eyes towards Shuichi's broken state. He looked at me and opened his mouth "Don't apologize now apologize when Shuichi is better." I started to walk away.

I was walking towards my dorm when i heard soft snores coming from Shuichi 'my poor angel' I came to my dorm and set Shuichi on my bed. I grabbed one of his button ups that he keeps here. I took down his jacked...my face was full of horror. What i saw was cuts all up his arms. I teared up and looked at his tear stained face and went to the bathroom to get some cotton, disinfect and bandages. I put disinfect on some cotton to clean his wounds. He flinched and I caressed his cheek. I bandaged his hands and put on his button up. I tucked him under the covers and started running my hand trough his hair.

'I will found out what happened to you' I sighed and went out of my dorm. Closing the door quietly not to wake my prince. I went straight to the principals office. When I came I knocked at the door. I heard a 'come in' and i opened the door.In there were Mr. monotaro and Kaito "hello Rantaro. Im assuming you came because of what happened with Shuichi." He said "yes" i said boldly "sit down please. I sat down on the chair beside Mr. monotaro. "As we know Shuichi had a breakdown today...I wanna know what caused it?" Kaito looked away "Kaito did it..." i slowly said. Kirigiri raised an eyebrow "He said something that shouldn't be said and by how Shuichi reacted it's been going for a while" Kirigiri mentioned me to stop "Kaito is that true?" He said to Kaito while he mumbled a yes. "Kaito Momota you will be helping the cleaning lady for a whole moth cleaning the school after the class. That will be your punishment for harassing Shuichi Saihara." Jin said "THATS NOT FAIR.I WONT DO THAT CRAP CLEANING TOILETS AFTER OTHERS CAUSE OF SOME WORDS!!" Kaito stood from his chair yelling "please calm down and that is your punishment AND YOU WILL STOP THE RUMORS ABOUT SHUICHI." Kirigiri raised his voice witch made Kaito stop. "Rantaro you are dismissed. Kaito you are staying and Mr. monotaro you can go as well." I went out of the office when Mr. momotaro stopped me "take care of him. Right now he's not stable. Help him." He put his hand on my shoulder " i will thank you."

I came back to my room. When i opened the door i saw...Shuichi sitting in bed crying holding my pillow "nononono baby whats wrong? What happened?" I ran towards him holding his face. Shuichi stretched his arms towards me wanted to be held probably. I hugged him and he cried more and more "*sniff* R-ran *sob* t-aro *sniff* *sniff* d-d-don't-t le-e-ave *sob*" and he broke down crying "it's okay baby I won't leave you. Not now, not ever okay. Shhhhhh calm down. It's gonna be okay now. It's gonna be okay shhhhhh." I whispered to him. His crying soon stopped so I detached Shuichi a little to see how he is. And he's back sleeping. I smiled and pecked his forehead. I laid him down and I laid beside him. I ran my hand trough his hair to make him relax and soon his whole body relaxed. I held him close and soon falling asleep myself.
