"No-no-no. Times not behaving!"

"That's what you get for opening a wormhole atop of us!"

To be an engineer you're required to have a certain level of understanding regarding science and mathematics. You need to confidently work with numbers to understand and to manipulate the science. Yet you need a firm grasp of scientific concepts to work out your equations. Consider two large stone pillars leaning against one another. If one was to fall so would the other due to the lack of balance. That's the importance of science and mathematics in engineering. Balance. Neither stand alone without the other.

It's one of the reasons I wanted to be one when I was younger. Since I can remember I've wanted to be an engineer and I worked for it. Friendship was never an option for me. I was the kid who couldn't sit still because what I was being taught I already knew. I was the kid who irritated other children so I could make the hours pass by quicker. I was the kid who got labeled as bossy when the other boys were labelled leaders.

Sure you can label me arrogant. I am. I know it. It means to possess an exaggerated view of one's abilities and their self- which I think narrows me down to a point. Arrogance is a large part of who I am and I will own that until the day I die regardless of how negatively the quality is viewed. When all is said and done the hydraulics within the decompressive chamber of airlocks always made more sense to me then why Suzie's pig-tails were 'so cute'.

Strip away the Grounder clothes, the braids in my hair, and the sharp blades... I'm left with me. Before I was a delinquent, Grounder, leader, or protector... it was just me and my brain. People can strip all those layers of who I've grown to become but my wit is something which will never be taken. Logic and science is the root of who I am. That's all engineering really boils down to. Logical reasoning, scientific concepts, and mathematical manipulation. That's the game and I'm the Queen of it. Everything has a logical reason for occurring or existing. I don't have faith in religion. It's founded on a belief in something greater than yourself no matter which you pray to. I have faith in people; not in Gods who have given me no proof of their existence.
