Chapter 20

Hinatas PoV.
It was now only 1 hour till the game. Me and Kozu are already packing our volleyball bags and then we'll be on our way to school.

I'm excited for the game and not really afraid anymore thanks to Kozu.

„You ready love?"

„Yes I'll be there in a sec!"

I sprint down the stairs and out of the door. Kozu already got used to my sprinting and opens the door before he leaves, just for me to run trough.

I waited patiently for Kenma outside of our apartment. And started to walk as soon as I felt a hand slip into mine, intertwining our fingers.

„You don't look as scared as you did a few hours ago. What helped you calm down so fast?" Kozu asked while he squeezed my hand in a comforting way.

„It was you babe. You always help me calm down and you know that. You're always asking what caused me to calm myself down and my answer ist always you. Why bother and ask everytime?" I was truly confused. He knows that he's the only reason I can calm down.

„I just want to make sure I'm helpful. You do so much for me, you brighten up my day every time I see you and I see you every day. I have much more motivation to actually do something with you by my side. I..I l-love you S-sho.." He stopped walking and pulled me into a kiss. I didn't kiss back until I felt something bite my lip. I was still shocked that he said he loves me tho.

„K-kozu did you just.." I was cut off by him.

„Yes Shouyo..I said that I love you and I truly do." he looked away but I still saw his red tainted cheeks.

I gently laid my hand on his cheek and turned his head enough to look him in his golden orbs.
„I love you too Kozume Kenma." he blushed even more and gave me a small smile. I leaned in and pecked his lips softly.

Our moment of affection was interrupted by Kozus phone buzzing.

„Oh- Uhm- sorry it's Kuro-"

„Go ahead and answer it could be because of the match."

He nodded and answered. „Hey...yea...Few minutes..oh...mhm.." then he hung up.

„He said that Karasuno has already arrived and asked when we will be there." I nodded and took his hand again making our way to the Nekoma gym.

*Time skip*

We arrive at the school and are now walking to the gym. I already see the bus of Karasuno and feel myself shiver. Kenma looked at me with worry in his eyes. I just smiled at him and continued to walk.

We opened the gym door and saw both teams already doing warm-ups. We quickly ran to Kuroo and the rest before any of the Karasuno team could spot us. But apparently failed.

Yamaguchis PoV.

Me, Tsuki, Tobio, Noya and Tanaka were doing some warm-ups together. We talked about the new spiker on Nekoma and how bad he probably is.

„I think he's just as bad as Lev" Tsuki says loud enough for Nekoma to hear.

„Maybe even worse" Tobio states giving Tsuki a high five.

„Yea I'll receive all of hi-" Noya was interrupted by the gym doors opening. And when I tell you we weren't shocked and surprised, I would lie. There we saw our little victim aka the broken sunshine that once went to Karasuno but what is he doing in Tokyo and especially in Nekoma? Don't tell me...

„Is that Tangerine..?" Tanaka asked in shock.

I just nodded in shock.

„What is boke doing there?! And why isn't he on our school anymore!" Tobio asked.

„Isn't it obvious? It's because you guys kinda threw him out." Suga said as he walked by us and towards Nekoma.

„W-we what...?" Noya asked

„That explains the bathroom.." Tsuki mumbles.

Kenmas PoV.

We walked to the locker room and changed quickly before going out and doing warm-ups together. After a few minutes we were interrupted by #2 of Karasuno (Sorry if I'm wrong I'm kinda confused right now..)

I immediately stepped in front of Shouyo in case #2 decided to slap him or something.

„H-hey I'm Sugawara Koshi..and I wanted to talk to Hinata for a bit.." he said kinda shy.

Sho moved infront of me and hugged Sugawara-kun. I was shocked and I think I wasn't the only one.

„I missed you so much Suga but I just couldn't come back to y'all. I was too scared of them." I could see the tears in his eyes and asked curiously why he wasn't afraid of Sugawara-kun.

„Oh uhm..you see Suga, Asahi, Daichi, Kiyoko, Yachi and the 3 other 2nd years weren't mean to me..they just kinda ignored everything..." He said as he moved away from Sugawara-kun again. Sugawara-kun looked hurt by the fact that Shouyo realized that he did nothing to stop all the beating but still smiled.

Shouyo now stood beside me and took my hand. He felt safe with me and that made me smile.

„He was still my favorite teammate from the team tho. He kinda cared. He called Yaku when I had to come here by train and told Yaku about my situation at school. So I guess Yaku is cool with Suga!" Sho said lightning up again.

„I'm really sorry Hinata..I wanted to ask if we could talk after the match?"

Sho nodded and answered „but only if my boyfriend can come with me." he pointed at me with a thumb while he said that and Sugawara-kun blushed.

„Omg, I'm so happy for you two!" he said smiling and tried to pet Shos head but I swatted his hand away, not trusting him.

„I'm sorry Sugawara-kun but we have to continue doing warm-ups" I spat and walked with Shouyos hand still in mine to the net to do our quick at least once before the match starts.
