They arrived at Ivarstead a little before midday. They walked through the rather small town and to the bridge connecting the 7000 steps to the town road. Upon that bridge were a Wood elf and a Breton conversing. Clover asked them about the 7000 steps and High Hrothgar. The two told her to be careful and they went on their way.

Have you ever tried to count the 7000 steps to either make sure there are 7000 of them or for reference for a story? Well don't, I lost my place after the first frostbite spider somewhere after step 73. Anyway back to the story!

"You silly, silly spider!" Inigo yelled as he pierced the spider between its top four eyes.

"Wonderful shot Inigo!" Clover exclaimed as she pulled his ebony arrow free.

"Thank you, My Friend!" He said as she handed him his arrow.

"If you all need to rest on the way up just holler, okay?" Clover said.

"Yes, My Friend!", "Yes, My Thane." They replied.

They continued their way up the mountain encountering wolves, ice wraiths, and more spiders. Which Inigo loves to kill.

More than halfway up they took a rest with a hunter.

Who was wearing a circlet that I really really really wanted but TOTALLY didn't take. But she attacked us out of nowhere because my hand ACCIDENTALLY fell into her pockets.

They rested and read the stone in front of them.

"Emblem 5

Kyne called on Paarthurnax, who pitied Man

Together they taught Man to use the Voice

Then Dragon War raged, Dragon against Tongue"

After some rest and pondering, they set off again.

More than a little halfway up they ran into a frost troll. Clover tried to tank it but it was a mistake. She turned around and ran a little way while Inigo shot it a few times. Then he ran in with his ebony sword and finished it off.

"Thank you, Inigo!" Clover said, leaning down to recover his arrows and maybe acquire some troll fat.

"No problem, My Friend. They did not know who they were messing with," He grinned as she handed him his arrows back.

Clover used a healing spell on herself before they set off again. When they started to walk again Lydia and Inigo got to talking about food. Man did they make Clover's tummy grumble. They rounded a corner and High Hrothgar came into view. Clover couldn't wait to be out of the cold so she rushed to the doors. Remembering she had to place Klimmek's supplies into the chest out front she trudged back down the steps and placed the supplies into the chest. Then rushed back to the doors and crept in. As Clover was warming her hands with her breath she glanced at Inigo. Man does his fur look warm. I wonder if he'd mind? Clover walked towards him, earning a raised brow. She placed her hands in his and sighed because he was so forking warm!

"Cold, My Friend?" He asked.

Clover blushed a little realizing she had stayed with their hands together for a little longer than intended. "Oh um yes," She mumbled.

"Well, I know how to fix that," He said, wrapping her in his arms.

Clover's blush deepened and she buried her face into his fur armor not wishing him to see. "Thank you, Inigo," she whispered. After a while, Clover got warm again and ended the embrace. She turned and walked into the center of the huge room to see the Greybeards making their way to greet her. She waited in the middle as one approached her.
