Night 1

"Hey, you alright?" Aria asked, breaking me out of my reverie.

It's the first night of our Polus shift. What Sol and I have planned has been greatly affecting me. Never ko pa nasubukan pumatay. I don't have experience whatsoever but I know a thing or two about holding a gun and a knife.

Concerning security, Sol handled everything. Siniguro niya daw na walang magbabantay ng security room at nakapatay lahat ng CCTV cameras.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm okay," I answered before continuing my task.

"Kanina ka pa tulala. I'm surprised na maayos pa rin pagkakagawa mo niyan," sabi niya at ibinalik ang tingin sa ginagawa.

I smirked. "You are talking to the Adara Romero after all. I can still do my job perfectly kahit pa lutang ako," pagyayabang ko.

She rolled her eyes. "I don't know how River put up with you all these years. Signal number four ka kasi palagi. Wind speeds up to 171 to 220 kilometers per hour! Dapat ikaw ang pinangalanang Aria."

I laughed. Si Aria at Ridge lang talaga sa amin ang mabibilis makaisip ng comebacks and jokes. They light up the room so much. Narealize kong napakaboring pala ni River nang makilala ko sila. Palagi kong inaasar si River tungkol dun at dahil kasing-attitude ko siya, iniignore niya lang ako.

I got along with only Aria and Ridge here. Most people hate me dahil napakaintimidating daw ng dating ko. They also labeled me as snobby and bitchy. I don't blame them though. Ganun naman kasi talaga ako. Si River, Ridge at Aria lang ang nakakatagal sa akin.

I smiled as I realized how lucky I am to have friends like them but my smile faded when I remembered what I have to do. I felt tears forming in the corners of my eyes with the thought of killing the most valuable people in my life to save my best friend whom I considered family.

"Adara, bakit?" Aria asked, holding my hand when she saw me tearing up.

"It's nothing," I answered, wiping my tears. "Tapos na ako sa task ko. I'll see you later," paalam ko bago naglakad palabas doon. Narinig ko pa siyang tinawag ako pero hindi ko na siya pinansin.

I ran inside the storage room and locked myself there. I completely forgot about Aria and Ridge. Nakalimutan ko na pati pala sila ay papatayin ko para magtagumpay kami ni Sol. Hindi pa ako nagsisimula pero sising-sisi na ako sa lahat.

"How's everything, my little fire?" Sol asked from my earpiece.

"I haven't started yet," I answered, trying my best to modulate my voice.

"Ang bagal mo naman! Paano mo mauubos silang lahat kung kukupad-kupad ka." Napapalatak siya. "You're in the storage room, right?" he asked and my eyes widened.

"How did you–"

"I have a tracker," he said, cutting me off. "Anyway, I'll help you start with your killing spree," he said and I sighed.

"Find the box containing poisonous substances," he instructed. I looked around and instantly saw the box he's referring to. I grabbed and placed it on the floor. I kneeled in front of it and lifted the flaps to open.

"Which one should I use?" I asked.

"Liquid Arsenic. Odorless and tasteless. Very easy to play with," he answered.

"Wait. How will I dispose of their bodies if they take this? Hindi naman sila agad-agad mamatay dito. They'll experience symptoms before actually dying and for sure they'll pass out sa mataong lugar," sabi ko.
