EPILOGUE (EDITED)

~~SCARLETT~~

A week after I buried my mother I decided to stick around Blüdhaven after I read the newspaper of a massive breakout from Arkham Asylum. The clown, his girlfriend and Desmond all managed to get out of Arkham because of Desmond's connections all over the world. It wasn't over; even with no memory of me he still posed as a threat to the citizens of Blüdhaven. For as much as I wanted to leave Blüdhaven I couldn't abandon my responsibility here, I reequipped my equipment so they weren't fatal or dangerous. I heard some footsteps in the distance coming up behind me where I threw my leg at the figure but they caught it. It was Dick dressed as Nightwing looking at me with my leg in his grip before I could just laugh slightly.

"Well at least I should know not to sneak up on someone with enhanced hearing and reflexes?" he chuckled where he released my leg as I put it down onto the ground as I rolled my eyes at him. "Bruce has made the Antiserum; if you want it it's there for you."

"I can't Dick, this is my life now. My mother gave me these powers for a reason, to protect myself and others who need protection. I have control over my rage and these powers now don't worry. You tell Bruce to keep the serum in case I decided differently but I won't change my mind." I explained where Dick gave me a smile knowing it was the best decision to make right now. I could see Dick had something on his mind that he thought I didn't know what was going on. "I guess you read the paper too? Otherwise why else would you still be here in Blüdhaven?" I asked where he looked at me with his dark brown eyes before moving a little closer to me where we were almost touching.

"I'm not leaving Blüdhaven at all; even if you didn't stay I still have a responsibility to the citizens of Blüdhaven. I'm also staying here for you because like I told you that I care about you deeply, your mother and father are proud of you." He exclaimed where it made me feel better to hear that when I turned to look at him.

"Look Dick...I'm sorry about what I said to you.." I started which he stopped me by wrapping his one hand around my waist pulling me close to him until our lips met again. It was a warm feeling that I needed it after everything I went through until I slightly broke the kiss to hear the sirens in the distance.

"Don't worry about it...it's over and done with." he smiled I gave a small grin back to him slowly kissing him one more time and then we broke the kiss again.

"So how do you feel about having a partner? Not a sidekick?" I asked the sound of sirens forced us both to look in that direction, all of the police seemed to be heading over to the courthouse.

"I think I would love that. Though you need a name other than Lynx you know." He replied while he fixed his mask on his face as I thought of the perfect name to match my character and my newly acquired abilities. We walked up to the edge where I looked at Dick who was ready to go into the fight.

"How about the name Haven?" I asked adjusting the goggles on my head where he looked at me and then he smiled at the name I gave him.

"As in Blüdhaven?" he exclaimed which I laughed at his comment seeing that he was serious about my comment stopping me from laughing.

"That and it is also my middle name. Scarlett Haven Lynx." I smiled where he gave me a grin while I stepped near him placing the goggles over my eyes seeing the paths to take to get to the courthouse fast.

"It's a beautiful name. Are you ready to kick some bad guy ass Haven?" he replied where I laughed preparing to head into the night with Dick by my side.

"Last one to the scene, buys lunch and a movie for tomorrow." I winked he looked at me strapping my gloves tightly to my hands cracking my fingers.

"You're on." He smirked we both dove off the roof taking off into the night where the sirens were, this was my home and I would do anything to protect it.

I walked down the streets of holding the notebook labeled Dr. Amelia Gibbons; I knew it was filled with different formulas and compounds. Desmond's steroid serum had to be inside these pages somewhere and I knew I would find it. I managed to swipe it before breaking out of police custody, the sooner I find the compound the faster I can take Gotham and Blüdhaven for myself. I felt a hand slipped into mine, swinging it back and forth like a little school girl in a relationship with the popular guy.

"Mr. J?" the girl started where I looked over at her smiling my evil grin where she smiled back at me happily.

 "Don't worry my dear, once we get the right compound the cities will be ours. Then we will get revenge on the batman, the boy wonder, the ex-boy wonder and Desmond number two. We will be unstoppable." I laughed manically with her joining in, soon I will have an army of Blockbuster's by my side and soon it will be the end of these bat creatures and of you permanently.
