Chapter 14

Alexandra POV

Riley and Hobbs had gone to Shaw's place to turn him in but he wasn't there. I heard Tej's phone start ringing while I worked my motorcycle. Tej and Hobbs had bought the cars we would need for this gig so almost everyone was working on their vehicle.

"Yo, it's Hobbs," Tej says.

"What have you got for me, Parker? Give me something good" Hobbs said through the speakerphone.

"Yeah, that paint you got from Shaw's place is highly specialized. Anti-thermal low-IR coating" Tej said.

"Military" my Dad spoke up.

"Exactly" Tej responded, "We got a list of bases around Europe that use this paint type and those specific colors".

"All right, let's cross-reference that with all of Shaw's military targets I guarantee you one of them is a match," Hobbs said.

Tej continued typing "Bingo. It's a NATO base in Spain," he said.

"That puts Shaw in a different country. That means he's got an eight-hour lead on us" Dad said.

"We gotta move now. Tej, get me that info. Riley and I will go ahead and we're going to lock down the base. We're gonna protect that component personally. Toretto, I'll arrange transportation for you and your cars. You brush up on your Spanish, boys. I'll see you en Espana" Hobbs said as he hung up.

Timeskip

We were finishing up packing the rest of the things when Brian came out of the elevator.

"You son of a bitch! You made it" Roman yells smiling as he drops his bags to hug Brian.

"What up man?" Brian asked.

"Good to see you," Tej said as he gave Brian a bro hug.

"Good to see you. So what is going on here?" Brian asked.

"Figured out they're hitting a army base in Spain. Border patrol ID'ed Shaw's men crossing through last night" Tej explained.

"Hobbs and Riley went to lock down the base. They're gonna meet us there" Han explained.

"Where's Dom?" Brian asked me.

"He wasn't going without you," I said as I pointed to where Dad was. Brian walked over to him and I followed behind.

"I found out what happened to Letty. It's all my fault" Brian said.

"Brian," My Dad began "Whatever you found out, that's for you. What we're about to do now, is for her" My dad said.

We were all sitting on the plane waiting to land in Spain when Tej came out from behind one of the piles of cargo.

"I just got word they caught one of Shaw's men at the base. It's time" Tej said.

"Something is not right," Brian said "He wanted us to find that guy. Think about it. At Interpol, you were face-to-face with him" he continued as he pointed at Dad.

"Brian, what are you saying?" Dad asked.

"Braga said the only way you get near Shaw is if he wants you to" Brian states.

"Tej, where is that component?" Dad asks.

"They're moving it to a secure location" Tej responds. We all look at each other thinking the same thing.

"Shaw ain't hitting that base," Dad says.

"He is hitting the convoy" I state.
