I ran to my room and locked myself in there. I can still hear the shouting voice of mom and dad, they are fighting again. Over what? Over dad being late of getting home again. He denies that he doesn't have any girl. But we knew he was lying.
I heard someone knock on my door, so I slowly went up to it and opened it as soon as I reached it. It was mom. She looked so frustrated and depressed.
"Mom?" I started. She's about to cry so I hugged her tight.
"I'm so sorry Tara for putting you and Thomas in this situation," she said while crying on my shoulder, still hugging eachother.
I tapped her gently on the back "Mom, we're just fine. It's you we worry about. So, are you alright?"
"You know I'm not yet alright. And to escape my depression, we will leave." she said as she free in my arms.
"What?" I asked, still letting the words she said sink in my head.
And for a moment, I knew they're getting divorced.
"Pack your things. Tara, help your young brother to pack his. We will leave as soon as I'm done, okay?" She said going in their room.
And I knew that my cuts on my left arm will increase. Fuck life. Why do you choose me?
I went to my brother's room first as she commanded and get his backpack and packed the things that I can. Then I went to mine and did the same thing.
Mom started the engeen of the car and in a minute we're ready to leave.
