Clem pov
I quickly rush outside and see that Violet is already at our spot. So I look around and see a way up to meet her.

Once I'm up, she grabs my hand and pulls me up. I blush at this action as she let go and sat down, legs over the edge of the roof.

"How are you holding up?" She speaks up, not looking away from the night sky.

I look at how peaceful she looks here. Usually she looks annoyed or troubled by something, but here that all seems to gave gone away.

"Yeah, I'm doing great. You?" I reply. I'm still thinking of a way to tell her. I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared. What if she doesn't like me back, what if she thinks I'm weird for liking girls? I guess I'll just have to give it a shot and hope for the best.

"Yeah. I'm good." She finally looks at me and I notice what I think is a bit of a blush on her cheeks, but its so dark I can't tell. "I um, I need to tell you something Clem."

I look over to her and sit up. This looks pretty serious, but I can't help just looking at her eyes. They're perfect, the green piercing look makes me feel something I haven't felt for a while.

"I'm listening, you can tell me anything." She also sits up and brings her legs back onto the roof.

"I uh. Just please don't think I'm wierd or anything please." This slightly panicks me, but I realise this might mean what I'm hoping for.

"I promise I won't Vi." She lets out a sigh before starting again.

"Before I got here, at the other homes I've been ignored by the other kids. Bullied, assaulted even." Hearing that somebody had the audacity to hurt this amazing person before me made my blood boil. "And when I got here I expected the same thing. But i realised that Lee genuinely cares about you all, and that the kids here are just as genuine. You especially. I know we've only known each other about a month, but I can't ignore it anymore Clem." I smile at these words as I close my eyes and realise what this could mean. "I like you Clem, not just as a friend. A lot more than that. And if you're okay with it I'd wanna give this feeling a shot."

Immediately after I hear this I open my eyes and crash my lips into hers and quickly pull away.

We just stare at each other, blush heavy on both of us. "There's your answer." I say as she blinks a lot, assumingly to see if this is real.

"I'm not gonna lie. I was just about to tell you how I felt tonight. And I was kinda scared you'd think I'm weird for liking a girl" I say in a soft voice.

"As if! You do know I'm lesbian right?" I look over to her and let out a sigh of relief knowing that this is finally happening.

"No. I didn't."

We both lay there looking at the stars, luckily it was a clear night so we could see them.

After a few hours we realised what the time was. "Holy shit its got late." I speak up and stand up, ready to climb down the into one of the nearby open windows.

"Wait. I just wanna say that. I just. I'm glad that this happened Clem." She says timidly as she follows me.

"Me too Vi. Me too." I say as we both go to our rooms.
