It's an origin story for (Y/N)!

( Narrator P.o.V )

(L/N)'s Household

A large and influential house of (L/N) was apart of kingdom of Vale for generations. Their were politic and economy focused family, pressing most funds of the kingdom into helping future generation by expanding possible work places and making support medicine, hardly ever accepting any weapon development programs unless also accepted by the Headmaster of Beacon Academy.

To say that what they controlled flourished would be an understatement. Sadly, they barely had any time outside of politics and branches of their companies. Their family consisting of two sons and a daughter had a hard time growing up despite the best of teachers and servants at every command. An heir to their family, (Y/N), especially took off in a direction they didn't approve.

He became infatuated with Huntsmen tales and adventures. His focus quickly shifting from politics onto weaponry and machinery. His parents didn't approve but they barely had time to lecture him so the boy's interests grew with each passing day. At the request of family's friend he also studied medicine to at least calm his parents a little bit.

His sister, (S/N), also knew something about (Y/N) that others didn't. (Y/N) liked to sneak out and explore the world around him, trying to understand it better than just words in a book. And, as his adventures continued, he understood more about the world's biggest menace more than he'd want to...

One day his entire view of the world shattered...

When he sneaked off this time, heading for the woods he was found out by Grimm. He managed to get on a tree but Beowolves didn't took a step back and more than anything they were preparing to take down the tree until Huntsmen arrived. Two of them started dispatching Beowolves and one managed to get (Y/N) off the tree by promising him safety.

As he took (Y/N) down another group arrived and while larger part of the pack was keeping the two bust the rest ran after the man and boy in his arms. He was quickly found and attacked by one clawing at him while the other jumped onto him but his jaws didn't locked onto Huntsmen, no, they reached (Y/N). With a howl of victory and powerful pull of the jaws they ripped off his entire arm and when other Huntsmen finally managed to clear them up (Y/N) layed in his of the dying Huntsmen, the only thing he heard before his death were two wrods : 'You lied'.

With a quickly medical transport and hours of intensive work, the doctors managed to save (Y/N) life but he was armless ever since. Some would grieve for his loss but more than his body, his mind was hurt. He understood that just being a Huntsmen is not enough. There were three and Beowolves still managed to kill one and get to him. He knew that human body is just not enough to fight off Grimm...

He took up another study - robotics and prosthethics.

His parents were surprised that since he got better he didn't leave his workshop for more than fifteen minutes to eat and get back inside. He spent all this time to read and research about prothethics and robotics along with medicine to create his own limb, not wanting anything bought despite his parents' wealth.

It was hard with just one arm but he managed to creat another one, robotic - highly advanced piece of tech that along with a professor who was teaching him managed to connect with his nerves and allow him to use it like normal arm with no downsides to it. After his professor left, however, (Y/N) started to experiment...

He tweaked his arm, making it far stronger than what was it intended purpose and with a single strike chopping through many pieces of wood. He knew that this is the time to take it even further, to bypass human weakness that is the body and so he went back to his workshop. For a long time his family were sure that (Y/N) has gone mad ever since the accident, his wasn't an heir anymore as (S/N) took over his duties.

(Y/N), however, could care less about it. All he needed were materials, time and his calculations. He knew that there is no simple way to be transplanted into a robotic body but then a certain someone came into his life, an individual called Ozpin. After their conversation he found so many hidden informations in the man's words he almost questioned who or what that man was but for now he needed to put it to the test.

After creating an artificial body of rat he used all his knowledge and build a machine to transplant the very Soul. He watched as rat's life suddenly flatlined but the robot came to life and started to move and act just like the animal did a few moments ago. His goal was mere moments away from him, just barely out of his reach.

After explaining his theories to other scientists they laughed at him. How could one transplant Soul? It's specific for eveybody and they even believed Aura to be something else than manifestation of Soul so for them it sounded like a maniac's suicidal plan. So... He did only rational thing, he cut them off and returned to his old workshop for the last time.

There he made a 'Craddle', an operation table he used to creat a new body for himself and for the last step he let his old body to fall apart as he was transported into his new vessel. He watched all the flesh of his body rot away as he marveled over the fact that he was in fact inside a metal body, one that could withstand time, sickness, tiredness and many forms of damage. He also still had his Aura...

His family turned away from him completely and he destroyed his old labolatory and now comes the time...

After fifty years a new hope comes to the land. With a certain silver eyed warrior who was preparing to enter the academy (Y/N) knew... That it is time for a change.
