Days had passed by since Draco and Y/n's altercation. For once in his life, Draco was avoiding someone. Every time she entered any room, he would look the other way or leave. Y/n had taken notice of his behavior and felt badly. But she shouldn't feel bad for a bully, right?
"I feel bad Mione, I think I broke him." Y/n sighed and Hermione chuckled. "Good, ever since that day he hasn't told us anything. Don't feel bad Y/n, he's a git." Y/n shrugged, "I suppose you're right." She got up from the table, "I'll see you in our room, I need to go to the library." Hermione nodded as she watched Y/n leave.
She walked down the corridors, holding her book close to her chest. She walked into the library greeting the librarian. Y/n walked towards the end, sitting down at a table in the back of the library. She took out her parchment paper and quill. She opened her book and began to read the chapter Snape assigned for Potions class.
Someone bumped into the table making her look up, "Sorry." Draco mumbled as he turned to leave. "Wait, Draco!" She whispered-yelled. She got up from her seat going to Draco. His eyes looked sad, something Y/n had never seen. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I really am. I shouldn't have been that mean." Y/n looked into his eyes, saying the sincere apology. Draco didn't say much, which made Y/n anxious.
"I deserved it, I was being an asshole." He spoke. Y/n sighed, "You were, but I was too. I didn't mean what I said. I don't know you enough to say those cruel things." Draco chuckled, "It's well deserved, like I said." They stayed quiet for a while, not knowing what to say to each other. "Okay, well I'm going to go back to my assignment. I hope you accept my apology, I really am sorry Draco." Draco gave her a small smile, "All is forgiven."
Y/n went back to her seat, but this time accompanied by Draco. She looked up with furrowed eyebrows. Draco grabbed her book and looked over it, "You still haven't done your essay?" Y/n playfully rolled her eyes, "Obviously not, you have?" Draco nodded as he looked at her essay. "Oh this is wrong, Merlin Y/n you're terrible at potions." Y/n laughed, "Shut up Malfoy, at least fix my mistakes then." Draco shrugged as he grabbed her quill, crossing out her mistakes and writing the write answer. "You're obviously going to have to rewrite this. You don't want Snape to know I basically did your essay."
Y/n chucked, "Why are you helped me now? All the years you've been here and we haven't spoken to each other, until now." Draco sighed, "I don't know I guess I found you more interesting? Since the day you told me off I couldn't get you out my head. It didn't make sense for you to just talk to me like that. I don't know," Draco sighed trying to get the right words out. "Something about you was so captivating. I just wanted to get to you better." He finally said making Y/n raise both her eyebrows. "Don't fall in love with me Malfoy." She joked making him blush slightly, but not enough for her to notice. "You wish L/n."
A part of Draco did truly find her interested and captivating. No one ever dared to speak to him that way, but when she did– he just felt different. It was an odd feeling, but he intended on trying to keep that feeling. And it seemed that being around Y/n was when he would get that weird feeling.
I guess it took Y/n putting Draco in his place to reveal the true feelings he had for her. All the constant bullying she received from him all those years, was just his dumb way of showing his feelings.
