"Ow!" I said, watching as the pillow hit the ground. Turning around, I saw a mischievous Noah standing in the doorway as he held two more pillows. "I'll win." I said, referring to the pillow fight Noah had just started.
"I'd like to see you try." Grabbing the pillow from the floor, I chucked it towards Noah before jumping over the bed and taking cover. Grabbing the throw pillows, I kneeled down, making sure to keep my eyes on Noah, watching his every move. Climbing onto the bed, I started swinging as Noah came closer to me. It didn't even seem to faze him as the pillow in my hand continuously hit his arm. Dropping his weapons, his hands wrapped around my waist, pushing me down onto the bed.
"You dropped your weapons...you forfeited." I said, explaining the most known rule of battle.
"But somehow, I still won." He said, hovering his body over mine as he connected our lips. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pulled him as close to me as possible as I smiled into the kiss.
"Last time I get you two to help me." Tayler said, walking into the room. Rolling off me, Noah walked over to Tayler and took the box from his hands.
"This house is going to be sick." I said, turning over so I was now lying on my stomach facing the boys.
It had been a couple of weeks since Tayler decided he was going to move out of the Hype House and had actually found a new place to live. He had yet to really speak to Thomas about everything that happened and honestly, I don't think he's really looking forward to the next time they see each other. I knew Ryland meant it when he said he'd tell Thomas to lay off but I'm just not quite sure if Thomas will actually listen.
"I just can't wait to have a project of my own, you know?" Tayler said, sitting down next to me on the bed. "It's crazy to think it's no longer just a thought but an actual plan." Tayler had this idea for a while now but he didn't exactly have the motivation to start it, considering he was already part of the Hype House but as soon as things with Thomas started going south, I think the decision to leave was becoming easier by the day. "I am, however, going to meet up with Thomas...talk everything through." He explained. Rolling my eyes, I pushed myself off the bed and towards the door. "Regs," Taking my hand in his, Noah kept me from leaving. "I don't want there to be any bad blood between anyone, you know that."
"What makes you think this conversation is going to be different from the ones we've already had with him? He doesn't care, Tayler. He doesn't care that he's hurt all three of us. He doesn't care that you've moved out. He doesn't care." I repeated. "Our relationship is hard enough with everyone claiming I'm going to break Noah's heart, I didn't and I don't need someone I considered a friend trying to ruin it too. But do what you need to do, Tayler. I don't want Thomas in my life." Taking my hand away from Noah's, I left the room.
"Hey," Noah said, following behind me. "wait up, Regs." Following me down the stairs, i didn't exactly want him to catch me. I knew he was going to try and talk me out of being upset with Thomas and I just couldn't handle that right now. "With little legs, you move fast." Reaching for my wrist, he took hold of it, stopping me in my tracks.
"It's just annoying." I said, not knowing how else to describe it. "Thomas has done nothing but try and ruin us, at Tayler's expense too, and now he just wants forgive him? I don't seen how they'll ever be okay again."
"You're missing the key part here, Regs." Noah explained, pulling me closer to him by my waist. "He tried and he failed. At the end of the day, we struggled to get there but we're together nonetheless. Thomas didn't think the feelings I have for you were strong enough and yeah, neither did I but he was wrong...and so was I. Thomas and Tayler may never be what they were but if they're both willing to just knock it off, they could be good friends again."
"I just-"
"Think of it this way," Noah continued. "if you didn't come after me at that party, who knows if we'd be standing here now." Taking a step towards me, his eyes flickered between mine and mine lips. "Who knows if I'd be able to kiss you again." His lips brushed mine with every word and I couldn't help but smile. In a way, he's right. Things may have a way of working themselves out but helping them in the right direction isn't a bad thing either. "Who knows if I'd be able to call you my girlfriend."
"What?" I asked, pulling my head back in an attempt to fully understand the situation. "Noah Beck, are you asking me to be your girlfriend?"
Looking down at the ground, he laughed as he replied, "Yeah, I can't think of anything else I'd want more."
"Me either." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him towards me.
