-Ban's POV-

"Whatcha doing there Merlin?" I asked.

"I'm doing a gift." She answered.

"Booooring." I said and leaned on the boar hat's desk.

"What is it for?" King asked.

"Birthday gift." Merlin said.

"To who?" Diane.

"The Captain." She answered.

"The Captain?" We all asked. Then princess walked in the boar hat.

"Hello. What was you doing?" Princess asked.

"Captain have his birthday soon! We must do a surprise party!" Diane shouted.

"That sound like a wonderful idea." Princess said.

"We must have ale!" I said.

"Why do people give things on birthdays?" Gowther asked.

"To show how much we appreciate them." Merlin said.

"But what will we give the Captain?" Escanor asked.

"When is sir Meliodas birthday?" Princess asked.

"In 3 days." Merlin said.

"3 days?!" We all yelled. Then the door opened.

"Yo! What's happening in 3 days?" Captain asked as he walked in with something in his hands.

"Nothing." Diane said.

"Okay? I have gotten the ingredients you wanted Merlin. What is it for anyway?" Captain asked.

"Just an experiment. That's all." Merlin said.

"Okay. The tavern opened soon, so get ready." Captain said. I walked to the kitchen. What am I gonna give the Captain?

-Elizabeth's POV-

Sir Meliodas' birthday is in 3 days? What will I get him? What do he want?

"The tavern opens now!" Sir Meliodas said and opened the door. People walked in. Me and lady Diane started take people's orders and give them.

Some hours later, the tavern closed again.

"Okay, out everyone. It's closed." Sir Meliodas said. All the costumes walked out.

"So, what are we gonna do now?" Sir Meliodas said.

"I will read." Sir Gowther said.

"Experiment." Lady Merlin said.

"Me and Elizabeth will go and shopping!" Diane said and pulled me out the tavern.

"Okay, wait 5 minutes, then we walk in again." Diane said. I nodded. We was quiet in five minutes before we walked in again to see everyone except sir Meliodas.

"Where did sir Meliodas go?" I asked.

"He said that we all was boring and walked up to his room." Sir King said.

"Olay, how are we gonna do this?" Lady Diane asked.

"We need a birthday cake." Lady Merlin said.

"I will take care of that." Sir Ban said.

"Who will we invite?" Sir Gowther asked.

"It c-could j-just be u-us." Sir Escanor stuttered. We all agreed.

"Good. What else?" Lady Merlin asked.

"I don't know. Gifts." Lady Diane said.

"What will we give for gifts?!" Sir King asked in s small panic.

"What are you giving him Merlin?" Ban asked.

"I am giving him a poison that he have wanted to try a while. Why, I don't know." Lady Merlin said.

"What will we others give him?" Sir King asked, still in panic.

"Why don't we just ask the Captain?" Sir Gowther asked.

"Because it isn't any surprise if you tell him." Lady Diane said. Then the door swung open.

"I'm back!" Hawk yelled as he walked inside. He had something on his back.

"Master, what do you have on your back?" Ban asked. Hawk started looking around the room for something.

"It is Meliodas gift." Hawk then said proud.

"You knew too?!" Sir King asked.

"Why did you know, but not us?" Lady Diane asked.

"Anyway, what is you gonna give him?" Hawk asked.

"We don't know." Sir Escanor said.

"Ok-" Hawk was cut off by footsteps walking downstairs. We all looked at the stairs and saw sir Meliodas walk down.

"Oh, your all done already? And Hawk, where were you the whole day?!" Sir Meliodas asked.

"Nothing." Hawk said.

"What's that on your back?" Sir Meliodas asked.

"Eh? It's... Ban's new shoes." Hawk said.

"Sureee, anyway, it's getting late and we have a mission tomorrow from king Bartra. You should all go to bed." Sir Meliodas said. We nodded.

"Yeah! Awesome! Good night!" Lady Diane said and ran away.

"Night." Everyone else except Hawk and sir Meliodas said and ran away too.

"Okay, that was strange. Let's go to bed." Sir Meliodas said. I nodded.

"Wait a second! You aren't going anywhere!" Hawk said to sir Meliodas. Sir Meliodas turned around to see Hawk and at the same second, he was tied like every night.

"Okay, you can go now." Hawk said. Sir Meliodas just rolled his eyes as we started walking up. Then sir Meliodas jumped in bed while I laid down beside him. Sir Meliodas laid and looked on me while I looked up at the ceiling.

"Sir Meliodas?" I asked.

"Yes Elizabeth?" He asked. I turned to look at him.

"What would you like to have for your birthday?" I asked. His smile vanished a bit.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him. He turned around.

"No, nothing's wrong. I don't want anything, don't bother." Sir Meliodas said.

"You sure?" I asked. He nodded.

"Okay then." I said and we both fell asleep.

-Diane's POV-

I woke up to see everyone except Captain and Merlin in the tavern.

"Hey, anyone knows what to get the Captain?" I asked.

"No." Everyone answered in sync except Elizabeth and Hawk. Elizabeth looked down at the floor.

"Something wrong princess?" King asked.

"I asked sir Meliodas what he wanted yesterday." She said.

"What did he say?!" We all asked.

"He said he didn't want anything." Elizabeth said.

"What?!" We all asked.

"I don't think it's a good idea to do a party for him. I don't think he likes his birthday." Elizabeth said.

"Who doesn't like his or hers birthdays?!" I asked.

"I don't think he does." Elizabeth said.

"W-why is that?" Escanor asked.

"When I asked him. His mood was going from happy to sad." Elizabeth answered.

"Then we need to do something extra special!" I said. Everyone except Elizabeth agreed.

"I don't think I will help." Elizabeth said.

"Okay princess. Tell us if you regret your decision." Ban said. We all nodded. Then we heard footsteps walk down the stairs. It was the Captain.

"Ready for the mission?" He asked.
