Alexandra POV
It had been a few months since we had gotten back to L.A. Things were going great other than Mom hadn't gotten her memory back. I almost had my license so I could drive legally, not that most of the things I have done throughout my life were legal. From what the girls had told me the garage was doing okay even though I wasn't there. Life seemed like it couldn't be better now that I back with my family.
I was currently riding with Mom and Dad to Race Wars Mom didn't know that though.
"Come on, Dom. So where are you taking me?" she asked.
"They say an open road helps you think about where you've been and where you're going. So you don't remember any of this yet?" he said.
"That's not fair. You know I don't. So what is it exactly that you are trying to show me?" Mom asked.
"That" he responded as he pointed to Race Wars. "Race Wars".
"We used to come here?" she asked smiling.
"Come here? You practically invented it" I responded.
As we pulled up it was as usual full of fast cars and half-dresses women. Being back though was nice. I was finally old enough to enjoy it rather than sit in a camper all day.
We were at the starting line Mom was about to race one guy. She didn't say anything but I could tell she was a little nervous. "Keep it under 9,000 RPMs. Kids gonna fry his pistons after the first 200'" Dad told her.
"You know that's not my style. I got to ride or die, right?" she said.
"How about this time you just ride," I say to her. The woman who starts the race comes up to the front. Dad and I take a step back. She ushers them both forward and starts the race. Just as Dad said right at the end of the race the guy fried his pistons and Mom won.
When she got back and got out of the car everyone was congratulating her. She started spinning in a circle and the look of happiness on her face changed to one of terror. I started walking towards her to get everyone to back up but Hector picked her up and she punched him in the face. Everyone stopped and she ran to the car while Dad passed me and went to talk to Hector.
Timeskip
We had gotten back from Race Wars and Dad had gone to Mom's grave to destroy it. When he got back he told me what had happened with Mom at the grave and how she was leaving for a while to find herself.
Timeskip
I was back at the house with Brian, Mia, Dad, and Jack, they were getting ready to take Jack to school.
"Dom you got a package out here from Tokyo," Mia said as Dad walked out of the house behind us.
"Tokyo? What? Is Han trying to convert me over to a turbocharger?" Dad said. We all chuckled and looked over at Brian who was struggling with trying to put Jack in the car.
"Brian in a minivan. Things have certainly changed" I said.
"He's struggling. He doesn't want me to see it, but the white picket fence is like an anchor on him. I can tell. I tried to talk to him the other night. You know what he said? He doesn't miss the girls or the cars. He misses the bullets" she said.
"Let him settle in. Give him time" Dad said.
"How does nine months sound?" Mia asked.
"No way! Congratulations." I said as I hugged her.
"And you didn't tell him, did you?" Dad asked, "You gotta tell him".
"I don't want him to be disappointed with his life. With me" she said.
