Young Justice

The mountain, common room

"When do the twins wake up? Or are they just planning on sleeping their training day away?" Wally complained.

It was late into the morning already, Kaldur had left the Mountain for some business regarding Aquaman and Zatanna hadn't come back from her off-world mission with Constantine yet. The remaining members of the Justice currently at the Mountain had been awake since dawn. M'gann baking cookies and Wally munching them, Artemis feeding her caffeine addiction, Kon watching static TV to ease his tension, and Dick texting Jason who was currently heading back to the manor after night patrols.

"Maybe their sleep schedules are different than ours," Artemis said, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

"Babe, come on. Since when does a hero get a sleep schedule?" Wally questioned.

Artemis shrugged.

"How are we planning on testing them for training?" M'gaan asked.

Dick looked up from his phone. The question was asked through their psychic link which meant only they could hear it. Until the Avengers proved themselves and could become working team members with the League, Justice, and Teen Titans the things they knew and the trust each unit had in them was limited. Also by using the psychic link, M'gann will easily be able to tell if the famous Scarlett Witch invades their privacy without their consent.

"I was thinking to leave the redhead witch in your cable hands," Dick said, looking over at the Martian in the kitchen. "If Kon agrees the two of you can team up for it to test her abilities and get a good sense of what we're dealing with. I read the League's report on her and she's got potential, very dangerous potential. So, you need to be careful, M'gann," Dick warned his teammate and friend.

"I'll be careful," M'gann reassured. She looked over at Kon and caught his attention. "Will you help me with her?"

They could all hear the teen of steel mentally sigh in their heads.

"Yes."

"Then obviously Wally will get the silver speedster," Dick said. "League's order, not mine. Or more like Flash's command."

"Normally, I'd be annoyed but I'm too bored to care. At least I have something to do now. No missions lately require a speedster. Can you believe that? Does that even make sense? I mean, if you want something done fast I'm your guy! Fast and efficient! But here I am unproductively running around in circles to kill time!" Wally ranted, throwing his arms in the air.

Dick chuckled at his best friend. "Easy, Wall. You're speed-talking again. It's giving us a headache. But your wish is my command. By all means, have at it and have fun."

"There's nothing fun about any of this," Kon stated.

"Yeah," Dick mentally sighed. He couldn't agree more. "Hopefully, the new Stark Tower will be built soon so they can get out of the manor already. That way at least part of our lives can return to normal."

It was tiring having Tony, Steve, and Peter forever hovering at home. It made everything so much harder for them. They couldn't just come back from patrols and crash on the couch, exhausted and not in the mood to say a word. Walking around the manor in their batsuits because it was the one place where they could be themselves and escape their so-called double life. Now the solitude was over and they were doing extra effort with everything just to keep up appearances. It was getting to everyone, especially Damian and Kon.
