Tomorrow will be different. Tomorrow will be different. That's all that's running through my head. Tomorrow should be different. New people. New faces. No more torture.
Every thing should be fine, right?
I let my anxiety's fill my head as I fall asleep.
Will they like me? Will it be the same as last time? There won't be any more mean people right? I'm worthless. I should've stopped it myself and not caused so many problems for others. I should've just endured it till the end.
My thoughts are interrupted by the obnoxious noise of my alarm. I get ready. I change into my uniform and skip breakfast as I head to school.
I get there and try to find my way to class. Of course, I got lost.
"You seem lost. Can I help you?"
I turn around to see a smaller boy. Around 5"2' if I'm not mistaken.
"Yeah, actually. I'm totally lost right now." I reply.
"Don't worry! You can count on me. I'm Nishinoya Yuu. I'm a second year. How about you?" Nishinoya said.
"Oh. I'm (l/n)(y/n). I'm also a second year."
I say.Eventually Nishinoya lead me to my class and it turns out we were in the same class. I sat down next to the window in the back and Nishinoya took the seat next to me.
"So what's your deal? Why did you come to Karasuno this year?" Nishinoya asked.
"Oh. Well I heard there volleyball team used to be pretty good and I've had the place stuck in my head ever since I saw the tiny giant play." I wasn't lying when I said this but it was only half true.
"I knew I've heard that name somewhere before! You played at Shiritorizawa last year. You were top three players in the whole nation last year."
It is true that I am a good player. And that I actually got recommended to go to shiritorizawa. But I couldn't stand all the pressure from that school. Everyone relied on me. I felt like I was the only one out on the court. Plus it didn't help that everyone thought I was naïve and that everything I had was handed to me. I worked for everything I had and fought for my spot. But nobody could see that. Ushijima was the only one that saw that. But even he couldn't protect me.
After class, Nishinoya nearly dragged me to the gym.
"Guys! Guess what I've got for us!" Nishinoya shouted as everyone turned towards us.
Everyone stared at me. I couldn't look anyone in the eye. This was so embarrassing!!
"Wow. Your (l/n)(y/n) right? That crazy middle blocker from Shiritorizawa."
"But what are you doing here?"
"Obviously he's here to play at Karasuno and help us go to nationals." Nishinoya said.
After Nishinoya's ourburst, everyone introduced themselves.
"Quick question; how tall are you?" Kageyama asked out of no where.
"Umm... last time I checked I was 5"'6." I replied.
"Dammit. Even you're taller then me!!" Hinata yelled. Everyone chuckled.
We practiced until late at night. Nishinoya offered to walk me home and I accepted.
"Oh (l/n) we're going to be starting our golden week tomorrow. I was going to ask you to join us earlier" Coach Ukai said.
"I'll definitely be there. You can count on that." I said.
I wouldn't miss something like this. I love these types of things.
Nishinoya and I made our way home.
"So, why did you really come to Karasuno?" Nishinoya continued,"Shiritorizawa is really good. I don't understand why some one would leave. Even if you had your eye on Karasuno, why would you leave the top school in Miyagi."
"Well, to be honest, I couldn't handle the pressure." I state. Nishinoya just looks at me confused.
"The whole team had to rely on me since I'm 'talented' or whatever. But I couldn't handle it. Plus everyone told me I didn't deserve my position or all the opportunities I got." I replied.
I looked down in guilt. I didn't want him to feel bad for me or pity me.
Nishinoya pulled me into a hug. Even though I'm a little taller then him, I leaned into his touch. He's so warm and I feel safe in his arms.
"I'm sorry that happened to you. But you know we would never do that to you. Plus, volley ball is a team sport, so any normal person wouldn't rely on just one person." Nishinoya whispered to me.
I clutch his shirt in my hands. We stay like that until I pulled away.
We walked home in comfortable silence. I said goodnight and continued my journey home alone.
I got home and immediately crashed on my bed. I live alone because my parents decided to let me become more independent while still in high school.
I woke up the next morning and packed my bag for the golden week.
I walked to school and meet up with Nishinoya on the way. We conversed with each other as we walked to school.
A/n: sorry if this is bad.:( I will except any criticism you have for me. :)
