"This Steel Ball Run Race that started on the West Coast, San Diego California, on September 25th 1890 at 10AM and has traversed this great North American continent! With a total number of 3662 horseback contenders! Having traveled a distance of 6400 kilometres! And with a travelling time of 116 days, 6 hours, 33 minutes and 12 seconds, this race's champion is...! Diego Brando!"

The race was finally over, Diego Brando was the winner, but if Diego was alive then who was the man that was found at some train tracks split in half? He looked exactly like Diego. Could Diego have had an identical twin?

Thoughts raced through James' head as he watched the champion get off his horse and carry something with him to the church.

"Hey James aren't you gonna interview the champ or are you gonna stand there?"

It was Wilson one of James' friends. Wilson was a detective that loved any type of sports he would even go to foreign countries to watch a football (soccer) match.

"Oh Wilson, yeah I was just about to do that."

"Well you'd better hurry he's nearly at the church."

James ran off to catch up with the new champion Diego Brando, leaving Wilson at the finish line.

"Mr Brando! Mr Brando! Excuse me Mr Brando I'm James Smith I'm a reporter and I was wondering if I could interview you about your success in this race."

"Yeah sure, just wait here and I'll be back in a minute I have to do something first." Replied Diego without even looking at James.

"Oh sure." James said in disappointment, he knew people would say they're busy or running late to avoid an interview.

Great now I'm not gonna get that interview, I bet McAllen is going to fire me, he wanted my interview to be on the front page, James thought to himself.

Inside Trinity Church, Diego steps down the cold stone stairs and places the Holy Corpse inside the vault and remembers what Funny Valentine had told him, "Once the corpse is stored there, you can lock it. And once the shelter and door are locked, no stand user, (you included) nor any army will be able to breach it for 80 years. It was built to have that protection. But the corpse will be an ally to you, its owner. Dio, with this country, you must take the napkin and in my stead... all good luck and the centre of the world will be at that place!"

"Excuse me." A quiet voice said.

James looked over his shoulder to see Lucy Steel walk past him. Lucy Steel this is great I could interview her instead! McAllen this be happy If I get an interview with the sponsor's wife, James thought to himself in excitement.

"All right... president. I believe you." Said Diego as he started to lock the vault, when he noticed someone behind him.

A few minutes later a scream was heard coming from the church.

"What was that it sounded like Diego's voice, could he be in trouble?"

James ran into the church trying to find the origin of the ghastly sound. The he ran he noticed a staircase leading downwards.

"Could he be down there?"

James slowly went down the staircase to suddenly stop as he saw the headless body of Diego Brando on the floor. He stood there stunned at what he saw trying to comprehend if what he was really seeing was a dead body or if he was imagining it. As he thought about this he noticed Lucy standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"D-do you see that body on the ground as well!?!" He screamed.

Lucy stood there in silence only gasping from witnessing what had just happened.

"You should probably leave now if you don't want someone to come down here and think you're apart of this." Lucy said in a quiet tone whilst avoiding eye contact with James.

"My friend is a detective ok! He'll have you arrested, he's only a few kilometres away!"

"Don't I'll explain what's happening just wait for Steven to arrive, please."

A few hours later, Wilson, James, Lucy and Steven Steel are standing outside Trinity Church. They finish discussing what had happened and decide what to do next.

"So the Diego found by the tracks is from our world and the Diego that was just killed is from another world?" James said in disbelief.

"Mr Steel you'd better be telling the truth all of this sounds bizarre but because we did find a body that looked like Brando I do believe you but not fully." Wilson looked Steven in the eyes as he spoke.
