"Shivaay", called Anika gaining strength. She realised that she can't even blame him for giving her divorce as she was living in her house after marriage which was totally wrong. A wife should live with her husband not alone, yes he behaved like a beast with her but he was trying to repent too which was noticed by Anika and her family as well

Shivaay hummed in response, he won't want to look in her eyes, she is the first girl who was driving him crazy and this decision was very hard for him. He knew this is the last option left for him to repent for his mistakes. He can't force her to live in that namesake relationship which is not even their choice. He is sitting beside her and can feel the sorrow in her voice, he felt bad for hurting an innocent girl.

He wished he believed her and didn't let Priyanka continue the relationship with Daksh, he could have done anything to marry Anika but if the situation was something else. He was falling for her personality but she was already in a relationship with someone else so how can he force her to stay in this marriage which has no future? So keeping a stone in his heart he gave Divorce.

"I...I want to ask something", Anika said in low voice. Shivaay felt her low voice and clenched his fist because he can't look at her right now. He is not in a good state of mind. Moreover, if he did then definitely he will try to go close knowing well he doesn't have any right

"Stop thinking like she wants to give us a chance. There was never us. You were a beast. She is crying because she remembered those days. You can only Reget", Shivaay's mind told him. He was looking down and noticed a few tear droplets on her hands

"No I can't let her cry on her birthday", Shivaay thought in his mind and looked towards Anika. Anika wiped her tears and masked a smile on her face which Shivaay knew it is fake

"Yes ask", Shivaay said in a hard voice. It was difficult for him to reply now but just for her he replied

"Do... you really ..want to break this relation?", Asked Anika with tears. Shivaay stared at Anika. He wants to reply no but he doesn't want to live in regret that he destroyed someone's self-respect. Shivaay stayed silent as maybe his words will hurt her. She said before she doesn't consider this marriage real then how can he take her? He can't force her again

"Is this what you thought of giving me on my birthday?", Asked Anika with hope hearing no but Shivaay broke her hopes

"Do you think we have any future? In a marriage which is forced which we don't even accept. Are we accepting anything from this marriage? Do you think we are more than just friends?", Shivaay asked gaining courage. He don't want her to question his gift, already it was difficult for him. From the time he realised his mistake he thought to rectify it but Anika called him just a friend. He accepted that too but now when they don't have anything he can't force her anymore

"I gave you independence Anika. You are already living away from me so I am just freeing you from this", Shivaay said. Anika looked down somewhere he is right, she was living in her house forgetting marriage then how can she expect him to accept her

"But I want to give this marriage a chance. C..can we? If you consider me as a wife, not m..", Anika was about to call herself mistress when Shivaay interrupted her

"Stop. I am sorry please don't use that word ever. If you are comfortable then we can work in this marriage but staying in a different place is not a good decision", Shivaay said from his point of view. Anika nodded understanding him very well

"I will stay there but will you consider me as a wife? Can you ever call me your wife?", Asked Anika and looked into his eyes waiting for an answer. Shivaay looked here and there to think about Anika's question. He knows he behaved like this with only one girl then why the attitude? If he can trick her to wear an engagement ring, of he can force her to marry him, if he can care for her like he is her servant then definitely he can give her tag as his wife as well

"Yes I will", Shivaay said and closed his eyes feeling relaxed at his reply. He doesn't know about Anika but he is very happy that his reply can force her to come back

"Fine then we will give our relationship a chance", Anika said keeping divorce papers back inside the gift box. Shivaay thought she will tear them off but she didn't which angered him.

"Why she is saving those?", He thought

"I think you should take your gift I don't want it", Anika replied. Shivaay nodded, if possible he would have burnt those papers right now but if he did that then Anika will question him why he gave her these? Indirectly that will hurt his ego so he stopped himself from doing anything

"I have one more thing. Anika, I am very honest here that day when it was your engagement with Nikhil and mine with Tia that time I was not happy with my and your marriage with someone else. At first sight, I was thinking what if you were my finance? Then I tricked to make you wear a ring and I really could not gain the courage to let Tia wear this", Shivaay said taking the ring out of his pocket. Anika widened her eyes in shock because she thought he was lying when he said that their engagement was well planned but when he confessed now she believe it and is shocked at the same time

"I never felt this for Tia. So this is your right. I was going to keep this with me forever every time but I am lucky that I got this chance", Shivaay said with a chuckle. Anika smiled and let him take her hand in his. Shivaay slid the ring inside her hands and hugged her. Anika blushed when Shivaay hugged her. She knows Shivaay don't hug more often and didn't even know how to hug so this moment is special for her. She was falling for him but stopped herself from going back because she have self-respect. She can't go there losing her self-respect. If he wants them he should ask her to come back with him right otherwise she can't live there

"Let's go", Shivaay said to which Anika hummed. Shivaay asked Gauri to pack Anika's bag and took her towards Oberoi Mansion.

"I know last time I was not good with you but now I promise you will get whatever you deserve", Shivaay said and passed a smile towards his grandmother who was standing with a plate for Anika's welcome. She completed praying for their health and asked her to enter

"Shivaay will you listen?", Anika asked Shivaay who was not listening to her from the time he dragged her out of her house. She wanted to pack her bag herself and wanted to inform her family regarding the same but he took her like she used to live alone

"Hmm say", Shivaay said

"I want to pack my bag herself and want to go back for some time. We will come back today but at least let me say goodbye to them", Anika said

"You already said enough now come", Shivaay said and dragged her towards thier room. He opened the cupboard and took vermillion and nuptial chain out. He asked Anika to forward her hand in front of him. Anika forward her hand in front of him and noticed that Shivaay gave her rights back

He wants to ask if he can make her wear them or not but he feels so low on himself. Whenever he remembers that day he thinks he doesn't deserve her but he can't let her go as well.

"Ek din aap khud mujhe yeh pehnayenge"

He remembered her words and took his hand back. Thier hands touched each other but this time he didn't look towards her. He can't gather the courage to even tell her what she means to him. Anika looked towards her hand and then at him who was looking down, she understood he still regret but now everything happened and they can't change it

"Shivaay don't do this if you are doing this because of regret", Anika said and placed vermillion and nuptial chain on the table. Shivaay glared at her angrily and picked them immediately

"I am not a fool to keep them safe till now. I want you as my wife. I want to tie this around your neck and want to fill your partition", Shivaay replied and looked into her eyes to ask if he can. Anika nodded gesturing to him that he can fill her hairline and can tie a nuptial chain around her neck as well.

Shivaay smiled and filled her partition and tied a nuptial chain around her neck promising that he will never break their relation
