THE SCANDAL

Down in the living room, her phone began ringing! She was in the bathroom and her phone rang for at least ten times without her answering it. After having a shower, Ninette looked her face in the mirror, it was somehow creepy. She seemed like she was full of fear, but there was nothing to make her fear. By looking well in the mirror, her family pictures were displaced at the back wall. She felt very terrified because at that time, there was no one in the house, she was there alone. Her husband was at the job, her daughter Jolie, was at school. "If there is no any other person in this house who else has changed the order of these pictures?" Ninette asked herself with water dropping from her wet hair. While she doubted about that, her phone rang again. She went to pick it but her heart was beating rapidly. It was unknown number; she then took a deep breath and answered the phone. "Ninette, it's the CEO of the company where you applied for the job. We have analyzed your CV well, we found that you are capable of doing the job but there is one thing left for you to do so that you can be hired" A man on the phone said. A joyful smile came on Ninette's chicks, it has been so long without job and this time she was at her final step to get a job. "I could do everything to be hired for this time" she said to herself. "Well thank you very much, I can't thank you enough but I promise you I will do this job well. I will not make you regret why you hired me. I promise. Now, tell me that remaining thing so that I may do it" she said. It seems like she wanted to get a job hardly, her economic status was not very well because only her husband has a job. "OK, we are going to meet at the office, you will pass your final test there" a man said that but he never mentioned what the test was but Ninette thought that it was simply an interview so she had no doubts on it. She took her family picture and stared at it. She then whispered: "I'm going to get a job! I think I will make you proud. My lovely daughter, I'm going to give you everything you want". She then took her car's key and went out. At this time, she was heading to the office where she thought she was going to pass her final job interview and get hired. On the other hand, her daughter Jolie was in class with other students, they were doing art works and one of the students said to Jolie: "Hey dude, do you know that tomorrow I have a birthday party at our mansion? Are you going to join me? Many of our colleagues also will be there". Jolie then looked up at Dione who was inviting her in the birthday party. "You know how my parents are strict, but they can't refuse this today! I will be there my dear but I will ask my dad first. Today he is coming to take me home because my mom haven't a job yet, so I will be with my dad this evening" Jolie answered the girl. Those young girls were all between eight and ten years of age but Jolie was the youngest with exactly eight. "Cool, but why are always your parents strict for you? Is it because you are obviously weird or there is other reason we don't know? They treat you like an egg, are they waiting for you to hatch?" Dione asked Jolie. "Stop that Dione, my parents are not bad guys. They have a right reason for everything they do. Again, I'm also still young, very young. So I have to follow all they rules because I know they wish the best to me. Stop blaming them for being strict to me" Jolie replied. For her, it was not weird for her parents being strict. She believes that they had right reasons for what they do and additionally as she said, she was still young so she has to follow her parents. "Stop being nice at your parents, we all knows that they are having had time in these days. We know that you are poor today because your mom has no job. So that's why they are being strict to you so that you may not demand expensive things like attending my party'' Dione said like she was bullying her, but all her words meant nothing to Jolie because Dione was obviously rude, so there was no reason for Jolie to get upset for her. "Ok, let's meet at your party. I think it's time to dismiss today's class" Jolie said. "Daddy! I've miss you. I was thinking that you are not coming to take me" Jolie said as her Dad was moving from the car to hug her. "No, my sweet heart you know that I always do what you like. But your mom isn't coming today, I think you know the reason" her dad said. "Yes dad and I'm not going to get upset for that. So, are we going to have an ice cream? I merely want to ask you something" Jolie said to her dad who was unlocking the car. "Of course my daughter, let's pass there and feel free to ask everything you want" her dad said. "Sure dad" she replied.
