Chapter 25 - Lana Trail Part 1

"Hmm? Lana said that she would greet us here at the entrance of her trail, but I am not seeing her anywhere." Lillie said as she looks around the area for her. Currently, you all are at the Brooklet hill trial while waiting for the captain to guide.

"Probably she is held up by something?" Ash asks curiously.

"That could be tr- Ah! There she is!" Lillie said as she finally saw a girl in blue hair running towards you all.

"So that is this trial captain...Lillie said that she is strong huh?" You thought to yourself as you watch Lillie introduce you and your friends to her.

"So, you guys are here for my trial? Well, I don't mind, but Lillie, are you sure he is your boyfriend?" Lana asks as she looks at you suspiciously.

"This brat... If she was not Lillie's friend, I would let her meet Arceus!" You look at her as you curse at her mentally, resulting in Ash to pat on your back.

"Don't! You! Dare!" Ash said as he let out a sigh while you look at him in annoy.

"Ahahaha... yes [Y/N] is my boyfriend." Lillie said as she walks over and hugs your arm.

"...It is soft?" You thought to yourself as you feel something soft touching your arm.

"Hmmm... Well, it not matters. Anyway, shall we begin the trail? Only one person at the time will be able to take it so... who shall be the first one to do it?" Lana asks as she glances at you all.

You all decided to take a vote and it resulted as you are the last to take it due to various reasons such as you will end up destroying the trail area. Feeling bored as you wait for the rest to finish the trail, you decided to sit near the entrance and start sorting your bag wondering what you should teach to your main pokemon for the trail.

After about 2 hours have passed, it is finally your turn to take on the trail.

"Hey [Y/N], it is your turn to take the trail." Ash called out to you as you turn and look at him."

"Oh? That was fast. Lillie pass the trial?" You ask as you watch Lillie come out from the entrance with a pale looking Lana.

"So... and from the look of Lana, I can roughly guess what Lillie use to clear the trail..." Ash smile wryly.

"[Y/N]! Look I pass my trail ehehehe~" Lillie said as she shows you her Z-crystal while you pat her head.

"Good work out there Lillie. What did you pokemon did you use for the trail fight? Is it Lilligant?" You ask.

"Yup! It all thanks to Lilligant help that I gotten the Z-Crystal." Lillie said as she looks down at the crystal with appreciation.

"I see...Well than I suppose it my turn to clear the trail ah? Hehehe! I am excited to see what will I face." You said in excitement as you let out a burst of creepy laughter.

"Just don't go blowing up the place... I just hear from Lana that she never has seen such a monstrous solar beam before in her life that it instantly ko the Totem pokemon. It seems like it is giving her a trauma already." Ash said as he looks at you with a sweat drop expression. You turn to see that Serena is currently patting on Lana back as a way of helping her to relax.

"Ahahaha... don't worry about it! I have everything under control!" You said as you walk towards Lana and told her to begin the trail for you. Ash only could look at you with a face full of doubt.

In the Trail

"So, Lana... could you explain what I need to do for the trail?" You ask you guy arrive at a place that looks like a mini lake.

(AN: Originally, I was thinking about using pond rather than lake but was kind of tough to think of certain words to descript it hence I decided to change to the lake.)

"...So, you are Lillie's boyfriend huh?" You heard Lana asking as you wondering what is with her.

"Lana?"

"Just to make things clear, this trail is not only served as a qualification for the island challenge but also to determine if you are worthy for Lillie or not." Lana look at you with an annoy look on her face.

"...Could it be that you are jealous that Lillie is been taken away from you or something?" You said in a joking manner but to only receive only a death glare from Lana.

"Eh?"

"I am just worried about Lillie as she looks like a girl who will be easily deceived by people. You don't look like a bad person on the outside but who knows what you are like on the inside. I will use this trial to test you! Prepare yourself!"

"I am pretty sure I am like any of the human being out there on the inside thou... Well, whatever. I will take on any kind of insane trial that you throw to me but it not because for the trail but rather to get you to approve our relationship!" You said in a serious tone as you look at her with a determined expression.

"Very well, I shall explain the trail to you however, it will be slightly different from the rest." Lana said as she hints you to follow her.

"Oh? This is interesting..." You thought to yourself.

"As you can see, the original trial was to chase the Wishiwashi down the 2 lakes and finally get them to that big lake which you can see further down the path. Afterward, you will have to fight the totem pokemon which rests there and if you defeat it, I will usually present the challenger the Z-crystal.

However, for this trial, it will be slightly different. The first part will be the same but there will be a slight change to the second part." Lana said as she folds her arm.

"Second part? Second part as in the part where I have to fight the totem pokemon?" You ask as Lana nodded.

"This time around, your task is to take on both the totem pokemon and me. I won't take 'no' as an answer from you as it is a trail to test you." Lana said as she looks at you seriously. You could not help as you let out a grin while trembling in excitement.

"Hehehehe...Hehehe...HAHAHAHAH! Why would I say no to such an interesting battle? Of course, I will take or rather please let me take it! There is no greater joy to challenge the strong trainer that Lillie speaks of and the totem pokemon that has been raised by one!" You reply as your eye spark with excitement.

"O-Oh...I see. Then I shall be waiting for you at the end. Be sure not to take to long with the trail!" Lana says as she walks off as she signals you to start the trail.

"Well then... Since I am excited to face both the totem pokemon and her team, I guess I will make the Wishiwashi go down the lake quickly! Let do this, Oricorio!" You said as you send out your yellow dancing bird as she looks at you with a curious eye.

"Time to cook some fish! Oricorio, aim the surrounding area around those shadows in the water and use thunderbolt! However, use only 1% of the output since we will probably knock them out with 100% since they are weak to electricity." You said as Oricorio started to fire away thunderbolt around the surrounding area.

As the lightning bolt start to hit the water, you notice the shadow started to panic and started to head toward the next lake as if their life depends on it.

"Nice! At this rate, it will take me less than 10 minutes to fight the final boss of the trail. Now then, I wonder what battle will I experience." You thought to yourself as you move on to the next lake.
