Okay so this story is going kinda slow so we're gonna speed things up a bit, alright? Also, the whole scene in the Shrieking Shack will most likely be earlier than it's supposed to be.

Alex pov

Classes whirred by and before I knew it Christmas was on it's way. Because dad was a professor, we stayed at Hogwarts. Sadly the Weasleys were going to the burrow, so I would be pretty alone. I had yet to tell Harry about us being half siblings, but it didn't seem too important.

I woke up to see George's face inches from mine, a smile on his lips while he slept. I gave him a quick kiss and tried to get up, but he pulled me closer to him. That was a morning routine of ours, him not letting me get up in the mornings. Another routine was our morning snog in the shower, which made us late to breakfast but it was worth it. George was very physical when it came to affection. He liked to hold hands and cuddle constantly. It could be annoying, but still sweet.

Soon, George left Hogwarts and I was alone, minus dad. Most days we sat on his room and played chess or read. He helped me with some of the work I was having issues with and I helped grade some 1st year tests. On Christmas we gave each other presents, I gave him a new pair of shoes and some potion ingredients. He gave me a necklace with a thestral charm that was enchanted so only people who had seen death could see it, just like a real thestral. Fred and George send me a bag of sweets and Molly sent me a green sweater with a silver A. She always liked me, but never as much as Harry or Hermione. She always thought I was a little off because of my dad.

Soon we were back to classes and everything was as boring as usual. A morning song with George, a rumbling stomach through my morning classes, a lunch sitting with the twins while the chatted, afternoon classes with a headache, and a night full of homework. It sucked.

"Alex, what's wrong?" I was sitting in the library working on a DADA essay when Draco came over and sat with me.

"What do you mean? I'm fine."

"No, you're not. You won't stop moping."

"I'm fine, alright!" Draco stepped back. "Sorry."

"Has lover boy gotten you down?" I rolled my eyes.

"No, I just feel like shite, you know?"

"Yeah, I get that." He put his arm around my shoulder. Despite being younger than me he was a good bit taller. I snuggled into his shoulder.

I heard a gasp and feet stomping. I looked up to see a girl with black hair rushing away.

"What was that about?" He looked confused.

"No idea." I smiled and continued working on my work with Drake's hand resting comfortably on my knee.
