i actually get this QnA with greyson on Total Girl Magazine (taylor is the cover) i write this story for the Enchancers who didn't buy a Total Girl Magazine..so that they will know more about Greyson's new album TBT
PERSON: Your fans are curious about your new album TBT,first of all,what's the story behind the title?
GREYSON: The story behind the title is [that].. A kind of changed it all up on this EP and its very different from Hold on 'Til The Night . I wanted to deliver something that was much different from what anybody would expect from a 15 year old in pop music. And i think i did a successful job doing that.: the songs are very stripped down and very acoustic. the iea behind it is that this is what music is really about---"Truth Be Told" this is what it should be.
PERSON: As a Beatles fan, how do you react when people say an artist or band is bigger than the Beatles?
GREYSON: I think when somebody tells me that i have the urge to punch them in the face [laugh] If somebody thinks somebody's better than the Beatles, they are believing in something that they shouldn't believe in.
PERSON: So what ideas do people have about what a 15 year old's music should sound like?
GREYSON: I think lately its all about making perfect images,you know. And everyone who's my age,and their music,kind of creates this perfect image around them. For the songwriting, especially, I just wanted to make it real. i ddin'y want to create a perfect world that doesn't exist,in my music. I wanted to create a real world, Inside my head,form inside my life.
PERSON: We love how you see your fame and your music to expose fans to culture they may not have cared about. Older artist,books,paintings, You said "Sunshine and City Lights" Was inspired by a Van Gogh painting? Tell us about that.
GREYSON: Im a big fan of my local library. So i go up there a lot for art references. I saw this book callled "Van Gogh Goes Street", and i thought that was really interesting. I opened it up ... and i saw these words kinda outlined the image and it was a Van Gogh image. So i started looking at more Van Gogh Images...the cover just kinda put itself together.
PERSON: Tell us about your favorite song in the record "Leila"
GREYSON: That song was really inspired by the Beatles a lot. I jus think its a really beautiful song.

ANGELA: If your life were made into a book,what would be the best title for it?
GREYSON: TBT. its probably one of my favorite phrases,that's why i named the EP that, so why not name the book that.
DIANNE: waht was the last song that moved you to tears?
GREYSON: A couple months ago was Amy Winehouse's one-year annieversary of her death and i listened to her version of "Body and Soul" and it kind of moved me a little bit because i was such a big fan of Amy's.
SAM: my dream is to become a singer like you. What's your advice for me?
GREYSON: Always keep your head up. and don't let anyone else try to influence you and make you be different.
DIANNE: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
GREYSON: I really love performing and i really love making my own music,so i hope i hope i continue doing that in the next 5,15 years to come.
DIANNE: How do you handle a mistake during a performance?
GREYSON: I pretend ii never happened and try to keep going on.
