Athena's POV
I'm not nervous at all. This school year will be a breeze. I already took my charms class during the summer along with history of magic. The one thing I am nervous about, is the sorting. My family is known for being completely Slytherin. They want me to be a Ravenclaw, but I know that's not who I am. I want to be put into Slytherin. Who wouldn't want to be surrounded with people just like them. Pure blood needs to stay pure, or at least that's what father says.

I pour myself a nice cup of tea and sit at the kitchen island. It's about 7 in the morning and I'm as cheery as ever. I'm normally not a morning person, but I've been working on sleeping all summer. I've already got my trunk packed, my jumper is on the chair I am sitting on, my supplies for school is packed, and it's about time for mother to get out of bed.

Mother gracefully walks downstairs in her silk black robe with feathers around the seams. She's a vision of grace and beauty with her amazingly long silver hair. Not a strand out of place, makeup completely in tact, red lipstick carefully applied, and steel gray eyes burning into my soul like a thousand suns. I aspire to be like her someday. She's always happy with father no matter what. It's almost as if she was spelled with amortentia.

Father follows close behind her with his pitch black hair, carefully formed into a gentlemanly swoop in the front. He seems to be tired at this hour almost everyday, but I don't think he gets much sleep. I want a relationship similar to my parents'.

It was now time to leave for the platform. I had to rush mother and father out the door because they didn't want to rush my first year. I knew they had to work at the ministry of magic, so they couldn't be late.

We got to the platform at 10:30 and ran through the barrier. Father helped me load my stuff into a compartment. When we were finished, I headed out of the train with my pet cat Binx. Binx was black and had green eyes, he was a sight to see. A very marvelous cat he is. Mother was waiting for her proper goodbye and I just couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. I quickly hugged both of my parents and said my fair wells. I made a beeline for the train when I ran into a platinum blonde boy who looked about my age. "Watch it you filthy scum, how dare you run into me like tha-" the boy stopped when he looked into my deep green eyes. "Wow. You're eyes sparkle like gems." the blue-grey eyed boy stated. "Thank you, yours are quite exquisite as well" I blatantly said with a grin. "The names Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. And who might you be" reaching for my pale hand. "I might be Athena Carrow. I'd assume you would like to sit with me on the train, considering our blood status is impeccable." I said as he politely kissed my hand. "Draco are we playing nice over here" a tall intimidating man said as he put the end of his walking stick on Draco's shoulder. "Yes sir, Draco is very polite. Quite the gentleman here. I'm guessing by your demeanor that you are his father. Might I say you've done a remarkable job raising him" I say with a confidence I've only seen around my own parents. "Why young lady I believe you must be a Carrow. The emerald eyes give it away" the tall man said. "I do believe I got them from my grandmother." I said. "You and Draco must be off. Don't want to miss the train now dear." Mr. Malfoy said. "Let's go Carrow, wouldn't want to miss the train. Maybe we can get a compartment of our own."Draco said, dragging you to the train.
