Can I just say that Chery is such a perfect girlfriend? She does so much for me, and I don't even ask. She always comes over and cooks for me and cleans my apartment while I'm at work. Currently I was texting her about coming over and spending the next two weeks she had off from school over at my place.

~Later That Night~
I swung my flat's front door open to reveal my girlfriend in some tight, black skinny jeans and a top that clung to her body, showing off her boobs quite well. My eyes trailed up and down her body, enjoying my view.

"Enjoying your view, babe?" She smirked, standing on her tiptoes and planting a kiss on my lips, swaying her hips as she sauntered into my flat. I groaned, already not being able to wait until tonight. I noticed that I had suddenly gained my girlfriend's purse, jacket and weekend bag in my hand, rolling my eyes as I went to go lay them on my bed. As I was walking out of my bedroom, I heard Chery's phone ringing.

•Chery•

As Michael was putting my stuff away in his bedroom, my phone started ringing, the I.D. telling me it was my mum.

"Hello?" I asked into the microphone of my phone.

"Chery? Babe, can you come home on your break? Preferably catch a flight home early tomorrow morning? It urgent."

My heart skipped a beat as I stopped getting pans out to start make dinner.

"What? Why? What's wrong, mum?"

"Your dad, hunny. He, uh-"

"Please don't tell me-" I started to ask, already knowing the answer. My dad had had another heart attack and was possibly dead, but my mum was just to distraught.

"Mum," I whispered.

"Chery," she whispered, I pictured her holding a tissue up to her running nose from all her sobbing. "Please, just come home," she gasped into the phone.

"O-okay. I'll be there as soon as I can, mum. I promise." I said, tearing up, hanging up my phone and sliding down the cabinets to the floor, clutching my chest.

I walked into the kitchen, seeing Chery clutching her chest and cuddled into the floor, tears going down her face. My eyes widened, going down on my knees and bringing her into my chest, rubbing her back.

"Babe, whatever it is you're gunna be alright," I whispered.

We sat across from each other with a cup of hot tea in front of each of us, Chery's delicate fingers taking hold of her silver spoon and stirring it.

"Chery-"

"Michael, that was, uhm. My mum. She was calling me to tell me that I need to go to Sydney because my dad has had a heart attack,"

"Oh, babe," I whispered.

"Michael, I need to get a flight back tonight. I need to be there by tomorrow morning," she whispered. I nodded, taking a sip of my now just warm tea.

"I'll go with you." I said, Chery's head shooting up to look at me," oh, uh. Only if you want me to," I whispered. She smiled at me, giving me a slight nod.

"I'd love for you to."

~10:50 pm That Night~
"Michael! This is our gate!" Chery called, grabbing my bicep and pulling me towards the right area. Gosh I hated going through security. "Michael pay attention, please! We gotta get through security fast! The plane leaves at 11!" Chery rushed, pulling her metal bracelets off and throwing her phone in the provided bucket, unbuckling her belt in the process. I was trying not to be an immature boy and finish undressing her with my eyes, but I couldn't help myself. We had had some fun just a few hours ago and it was still needing her and we couldn't do anything about it for a good few hours.
"Michael! Get going!" She spoke up, slapping my chest and walking through the metal detectors.

I held my hands up in defence, speaking. "Alright, alright. Sorry, babe," taking my own belt off and putting my phone in the bucket.

I enjoyed talking to Chery on the plane ride. Taking her mind off of everything was important and she didn't need to be constantly thinking about her mother and father. As I finished telling her a joke, I watched her lips draw up into a smile, her mouth opening to laugh at what I had said. She clutched her stomach, bending over in her seat to continue laughing.

"Oh, gosh, Michael." She spoke, covering her mouth with her hand.

Michael and I were exhausted to say the least. We had stopped by the hotel we booked and I dropped my stuff off, giving Michael a long hug and lingering kiss before I headed to the hospital. I wanted Michael to get some rest and meet my mum tomorrow, just because. I didn't really have an explanation.

"I'll see you soon, babe," Michael whispered, leaning down and kissing my lips gently, my hands playing with his hair at the bottom of his neck. His hands went around my waist, bringing me closer to him.

"Mm, I'll see you soon, too," I said quietly, barely putting space between our lips. His hands left my waist, hanging at his side.

"See you in a few hours," I smiled, grabbing my keys and walking out of the door.

As I laid in our hotel bed with the lights off and everything silent around me, I could only imagine how Chery was feeling at the moment. Hopeless, lost, tired, not wanting her dad to die. I yawned, running a hand through my dark hair and then down my face, scratching my eye. My mind started to wonder and think about my future. What did it look line in 10 years time? Did I see Chery with me? Did I see us married with maybe a little us running around? Holy fuck...she was just a one night stand just about two weeks ago and now I'm going to be meeting her mum and dad tomorrow and we've been dating for a week and shit. What have I gotten myself into? Whenever I'm not with her I'm always thinking about her and her perfectly shaped personality...god why do I have to fall for people so fast?
