"I was not good at school, I hated work and never really cared for it." He held my hand and ruffled his hair with the other. "I quit after I got a good paying job and never really finished school after that."
"What do you do now?" I asked him. He paused and thought for a long time. "What? Are you a drug dealer?" I asked jokingly as I whispered the last sentence. He laughed and shook his head.
"No, I'm not a drug dealer, but I have a good job that makes me happy. Anyways, I've had that job and I came to New York for a different job."
"I thought that you were born here." I said and he quickly denied the accusation.
"No I came here for a different position in my job."
"Ohhh." I nodded my head as it made sense.
"Okay your turn." He hugged me close to him as he laid down next to me. His arm round my waist and our bodies close together.
"Okay, what do you want to know?" I asked playing with his hair.
"Why does Finn always say I saved you?"
"Because you kind of did, I guess. I mean I didn't really go out or do anything fun, I'm on a gap year to figure out what I want and Finn was my best friend through all of it."
"Okay." He looked around me room and stopped, "So who's he?" Jaden pointed to the wall of pictures. Mainly Connor and I, but also the newly added photos of us.
"Connor." I turned to my other side to look at the photos. "He was my best friend and like you, enjoyed music more than anything else. Him and I knew each other for a long time and when people at school judged me based off my mom's actions, people judged him for his father's cancer. We could lean on each other at all times, but then he uh left." I was holding in tears and Jaden was hugging me close to him.
"He seems cool."
"He is, but only to me and Finn." I sighed and felt a tear slide down my face. "No one else cared for him, and when he was hit by Tyler for the last time, he felt dead inside. The next day, he was gone on my living room floor." I couldn't hold anything in anymore. Looking at the photos, thinking about my life, and dragging out my feelings. I quickly cleared my face off from the tears and turned around to look at Jaden. "He couldn't do it anymore. It wasn't his fault he felt a different way for me."
Jaden didn't say anything during this and I don't think he knew what to say. I just laid there with his arms around, silence filling the room, and Connor watching from wherever he was.

(Jaden's POV)
"Who's Tyler?" I asked Finn as (Y/n) was asleep upstairs.
Finn looked at me kind of scared, kind of shocked. "(Y/n)'s ex-boyfriend, he lives a couple houses down, but he left for college a few hours ago."
"How do you know?"
"He came by the house, but you guys were busy. He wanted to talk to her, but I said that she was upstairs with her boyfriend, so he just left a note." He held up a small envelope. Tempting to open it, but I knew I couldn't. It wasn't my business.
"Oh were not dating yet, but that's besides the point. What happened to Connor?" I asked another question.
"Why are you asking about them?"
"Look I need to know why your sister is the way she is. I like your sister, but I need to know her in the hardest times and when she spoke, it all sounded like clues that I had to figure out myself."
Finn looked around and back at me, "Connor killed himself, Tyler had it out for him because Connor liked (Y/n) and Tyler was insecure. With Connor having blonde hair and blue eyes and Tyler being a Cuban brown haired and brown eyed guy, he felt like Connor was a threat."
"Woah."
"Yeah, but Jaden?"
"Yeah, what's up bud?"
"Don't leave, I can't see her like that again. I mean she went to a mental health facility after she learned right after that she had schizophrenia. It's not bad anymore, but I don't want her to go back."
"Finn." I held onto his shoulders and smiled, "I will never leave you sister, I like her way too much."
