I recently read something that mentioned people wear masks. Of who they want to be. Most of the time stick with just one. Therefore they don't know if it is the right mask for them. When people try to change their mask the people that knew them to find it strange. Leaving most people too scared to try.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the poem!

Mask, Masks
They are everywhere
Everyone wears one
Which one will you put on today?
The jerk? The selfless?
Which one will other people label as you
Which mask will you have to wear?
Every single day
How do you escape this cycle?
If you try to change others laugh
They mock you for not wearing your mask
You begin to fear the change
Why put on another mask anyway?
You're happy right
You have a group and standards
No.
They aren't really you
You aren't just one thing
Jerk? Yes
Selfless? Yes
Kind? Yes
If everyone wears a mask
You should change yours
If it no longer feels like you

Poems! I decided to write some when I feel like it. I'm no poet but I enjoy writing and thought it would be fun.
